Fiddled with the OE tips and opened it up 1/8” and had them slip right on.

Again the resonated race pipe’s fitment is fantastic with acceptable build quality. I think it achieves what Soul set out on producing and it does the job very well.

That said, the drone is BAD. Mind bustlingly bad, wifey was so un-pleased with it we came home and swapped out for her straight piped’ M3.

I think I’m going to keep it on for the rest of the year tho, because I’m an infant and love the way it sounds above 6k.

Glad you got the tips worked out, but have you plugged or capped the sound symposer into the cockpit? That made a world of difference for me and I just plugged it inside the cockpit, where it enters behind the carpeting on the firewall.

Yeah, I did the delete and put 3 layers of sound detonating material over that hole, from the engine bay side of the firewall.

I wonder if the drone is worse on the tin-topped GT4s compared to the fabric topped Spyders?

You may be correct, but I had drone before I swapped over the Race and plugged the hole.

Oh well! It sounds pretty dang good up top so I’ll keep running it until Peter at 9M gets all the tooling done on their offerings! No regrets!

Maybe the street headers with high flow cats help with the drone?

I am selling my 718 GT4
so I have a Soul Racing non resonated exhaust that I will be selling
I think I put it on with 1000 miles and now the car has 2000 miles
I don't have pics as it is still on the car , and the car is going to dealer next week and they remove the exhaust and I can ship
I paid 2750 for the exhaust
if interested send me a pm
the exhaust sounds great and changed the character of the car .More linear acceleration and car feels more nimble
though it does have drone from 2-3 k RPM , initially it bothered me , but it seemed to decrease with time , so I barely notice it now
I did not remove the sound symposia

Perhaps. I should try it out for science!

Took it to the track yesterday and took a couple students out for uhh… fam laps… everyone agreed it sounded great.

The drive up to the track wasn’t unbearable either, it’s completely tolerable if you’re not cruising in that 2000-2800rpn range.

I’m leaning towards the silenced valved Inconel variant, that said, Peter said it’s approx 10 weeks out as they re-tool for production of the ROW variant of the mounting system.

Happy to hear you're running the exhaust and enjoying it so far for what it is....a Race Exhaust haha. If you can do some "rpm management" and minimize driving under about 2800rpm it should be a bit more reasonable. Otherwise, the equivalent setup in regards to sound with transformational improvements in drone is our "Sport Package" that combines our OAPs and Valved Exhaust System. That is the sweet spot for street use

Regards,
John Gaydos

Absolutely. I knew what I signed up for.

@BobZ thinks headers might cut down on some drone… could you make that happen? I’ll happily do it, for science!

I've got a busy weekend this weekend, but would be up for possibly bringing up my headers next weekend if you've got time. It would be a nice way to spend a Saturday or so while I wait for mine to arrive. No cats...but since it is for track setup

Is this with OEM OAP's?

Drone is definitely worse in the GT4 as opposed to the Spyder, having said that the amount of drone in the Spyder is no fun either... top down it is not a problem.

My experience is with the Soul’s resonated Race exhaust using their single inlet/outlet OAP.

Ah, thanks for the offer but we’ll actually be in Indy for SCCA runoffs sept 23rd - Oct 4th.
