Hi John/Mike,

Can you please post sound clips (idle, revs, flybys) of your full non resonated race exhaust and race headers combo installed on the car?

Fabspeed recently released a tiny but really promising sound clip of their full race header + exhaust system and I want to compare to yours before making a decision on purchasing either one. I am looking for the absolute loudest (120dB+ without being too raspy) best sounding exhaust/header combo possible. Cabin Drone is no issue for me as long as the car is obnoxiously loud.

Thanks.
B

Man after my own heart haha. So far, there are three people brave enough to run our combination of Competition Headers and Race Exhaust for the maximum experience this car has to offer. Dan at Numeric Racing, Compguy36 (active in this thread), and Matt at Obsessed Garage.

I spoke with Dan at Numeric Racing, he's going to try to get some videos put together in the next day or so.
Matt at Obsessed Garage is taking his time and trying all the various configurations and documenting them with likely the best video exposure that setup will see. He has just installed the Race Exhaust with stock headers and will be running that setup for a bit, and then I expect he'll add the Competition Headers to the Race Exhaust system for the next round of videos and feedback.
Compguy36 has sent me a couple clips of him running the car at the track and on the street. Mostly in car footage, with one external flyby that had another car right behind him so may not be the best example. Either way, shoot me a text at 4848836197 and I'll send those clips over for you to take a listen too while we wait for the additional footage from Dan and Matt.

For your reference, if this setup doesn't meet your goals for being the most insane sound you've heard out of a Porsche I will eat my socks and take it back haha. It is absolutely F U Racecar.

Best regards,
John Gaydos

Thanks for all the info and your prompt reply John! I appreciate it. I will definitely send you a text today to get those clips and please keep us posted on Dan's videos! I follow Matt's YouTube Channel and have seen all his Soul OAP videos and am waiting for him to try the race exhaust with the headers but that's probably going to take a long time like you said haha. As he likes to put it in his videos....I want all the "BOOMY BOOM BOOM" sounds inside and out of my car!

I will hold you to that eating your socks comment haha. That's exactly what I am looking for, F U Racecar!

No problemo, happy to help. By the way, Dan at Numeric said to give him a shout any time at the shop, he's happy to give you real world feedback of the "loudest exhaust setup he has ever had in his life" haha. I also just got off the phone with Matt, he has indeed been running the Race Exhaust with factory headers and will be adding our Competition Headers in a few days for ****s and giggles. I expect that level of BOOMY BOOM BOOM is going to far exceed what he is willing to keep on that car haha.

I'll have you know there's a very particular set of Porsche Motorsports themed socks I wear under my SIDIs when I'm out ripping around on my bike. I'm sure they're quite tasty, though I don't expect I'll have to find out haha

Regards,
John Gaydos

That's amazing to hear! I'll have to reach out at some point to hear about it from Dan and wow that was fast of Matt! I'll stay tuned to his channel for the video with everything installed to see the results.

My car now has been straight piped with race headers for years now so I'm used to BOOMY BOOM BOOM and wouldn't have it any other way. The sound and vibration you feel around you and inside your body from cold starting a ~122dB car and hearing the sound vibrating **** around you one is of the best feelings ever.

Thanks again John. Will be in touch

Can't wait to get my Soul Performance Race Exhaust! (I hope you beat your late January estimate

Any idea if Matt's system is resonated or non-resonated?

Thanks,

John

Very excited to see Matt's video of the resonated exhaust also. I asked him on YouTube comments if he could recreate the same runs he did with the OAPs and stock exhaust and he seems willing to assist. The clip quality and execution of his OAP runs were really good and very thorough.

Great ambassador for you Soul (John). Matt seems very particular with how he goes about things, and that is a very welcomed approach for those trying to wade through all the exhaust options.

I’m really looking at a resonated race exhaust. Seems to be a great value compared to the OAP that are sold. Including soul’s own OAP . About 1k more and you have a full exhaust. Sounds the best so far that I’ve heard on you tube. Except for the 10000 plus $ inconel full exhaust from the uk. (I don’t remember the company). Waiting patiently for matt’s video.. Plus you can use stock tips for a more undercover look. Will probably be my chrismast gift for the spring when I get my gt4 out of the garage.

John,

What is the difference between resonated and non-resonated. I cannot find an explanation on your website.

Thanks

Agreed. I placed an order for the Soul OAP but now am rethinking about going this route if I am going to end up changing the rear section at some point.
