[=SpeedySpidey;17685343]Cali Black/Yellow plates are awesome 😎[/QUOTE]
They are great on a Chalk car, especially with the PCCB yellow calipers. Best 50 bucks I ever spent!

Default Ready for a road trip...

Just finished up a little TLC ahead of the Spyder Cluster this Sunday in West Vancouver!

I just got back from European Delivery of my chalk Spyder. The epic roads in Europe help, but the car is even better than I expected including the colour. I’ve had a 981 GT4 since 2016, and this car is better in almost every way (even how it sounds, IMO!). Some pics, all shot on an iPhone:

Porsche Factory Zuffenhausen

Black Forest in Germany, near Seibelseckle

San Bernardino pass, Switzerland

Italy route SS1, near Varigotti

South of France, in the hills north of Cannes

Some parking garage in Italy

Italian alps, near Castelrotto

Trento, Italy

Parking garage in Monaco

@coldfire Simply wow! Now I am jealous, I so wanted to do a Euro delivery of my Spyder but last year was just not to be for that!

Awesome pictures, but a request, could you put the locations below each one so we can dream?

Canada huh, where abouts?

Cheers!

@Westcoast added approx. locations. I’m over in Ottawa. Honestly, I’m now thinking about how to ship the car back to Europe one day for another trip. The roads here just don’t compare. Doing 200+ km/h on the autobahn with the top down is a whole other experience too!

Congrats! Love these two pictures the most. So jelly. Looking into Euro delivery is kind of what started me looking at Porsches because BMW canceled their Euro delivery and I believe MB did too. Unfortunately, when we were ready to make a move, COVID hit and all Euro delivery was canceled. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I actually had my ED cancelled twice (once in 2020 with COVID, and then again just a few weeks before the delivery date). Somehow, Porsche managed to make it happen. I feel very lucky. I posted some highlights from the trip here: https://rennlist.com/forums/european...l#post17710253

Thanks for the updates and the link to your ED story, another great read! Regarding the bolded, and that you live in Ottawa you should just arrange to have it stored until next spring!

I am on an island in Canada's Mediterranean climate, so feel a little lucky when it comes to top-down motoring, not quite like your adventure but I can't complain at all!

Bumped into a journalist while parked here who was driving a GT Silver Spyder press car. He did a U turn when he saw me and chatted for a couple of minutes. He said he was reviewing the Spyder, the 25th anniversary and I believe the GTS Boxster.

Did they hold your car for that long?

Black calipers go with a lot of colors. The red calipers started to look a bit too much in my opinion lately. Must be getting older…
