No. I had a deposit placed in 2018, and I was offered an allocation in 2020 but without ED. I decided to pass on it. I was then offered another allocation with ED in May this year for a September delivery (which was tentatively cancelled a few weeks before the delivery date due to part shortages but Porsche managed to get it back on schedule).

My first visit. Entered from the south at the Cottenwood entrance. I was in Borrego Springs the night before. Being from Florida and accustomed to driving South Florida roads, it’s a great place to drive and see the National parks out west.

GT Silver was the choice of my original build two years ago before I got an allocation. Then when I got an allocation I went with Shark Blue, then changed it to Chalk before the freeze date. GT Silver is timeless, classic Spyder color. Chalk is nice and subtle and Shark Blue is nice and bold. Very personal choice. The Cayman / Boxster series wears all the colors very well I think.

edit. Added the photo so you can see how Chalk looks when inside. The car is kinda dirty since I have driven it over 1700 miles in the past two weeks. Hides the dirt pretty well. I am now at 1870 miles so for me the run in / break in is complete. I am gonna use 3000 km break in which is 1864 miles. Haven’t had a chance to rev it out since I broke 3000 km in stop and go traffic after an afternoon in the canyons.

Guaji- awesome build - thanks for the pics. Definitely leaning toward Chalk after seeing the Chalk and GT Silver side by side - also platinum wheels all the way - now just have to decide on classic interior or dark with red stitching! Cheers

Sorry to hear of the bad news. Will V2 be an exact copy or did you change some things?

Amazing pics and scenery - going to make my allocation wait (and figures crossed) eventual build tortuous - Defenitely will select ED as an option - whether it will happen, who knows??? - Question Coldfire - was it tortuous to adhere to engine and car break-in limits on such gorgeous driver roads? What was your philosophy on engine break in? Peaked my interest after seeing a YouTuber drive someone’s Spyder on the Nurburgring. The individual who owned the car picked it up as a Europe delivery - I thought “wow what an amazing idea” but then was like - “wait a minute what about engine break in!!!!?” - the poor lady was scared $h!tless! Not sure I would subject my brand new Spyder to that punishment right off the bat.. but who knows how much break in was done before the drive…

Curious as to the new build as well! A buddy of mine lost his Chalk GT4 last year and his replacement (in PTS Nardo Grey) just landed in Halifax yesterday!
