No worries there as I have a Harley and new G Wagen to tide me over! Besides, my Targa GTS is MB and I love the color so I may go PTS anyway...trying to decide if GB is too dark but I guess I need to see one in person to decide.
I am spec'ing a Spider now and it appears there is no way to get all leather inside without mouse fur - is that correct? Not sure about the exterior color but since I am in this thread one can see what I am leaning to.
If you want to completely remove all of the Alcantara/Race-Tex from the inside, be forewarned, it is going to cost you A LOT. The seats cost about $9k. I know someone has posted how much it cost to do the doors and it was also somewhere in the thousands. Steering wheel is free. I don't know how much the lower front dash is but I think another member did report the quote he was given.

Full leather with zero race-tex is 2k on the GTS 4.0. Two tone with deviated stitching 2.5k. Natural leather (Espresso, Cognac) 3.7-4.1k.
Installed RSNV risers and took some pictures last weekend. Just shot them in my driveway so not great pics. Waiting for good weather to go out to the mountains for nice scenery. New risers

If I could do it over, it’s really just the glove box / under dash piece that bothers me. The rest of it is trim and the leather looks pretty good. The top half dash being leather and the glove box alcantara is irritating

It didn't cost me anywhere near that. It was $2160 for the seats in leather and all of the deletion of "race-tex" (the new alcantara name) from everything including the roof liner and the steering wheel/shifter was $0 on my build. I did decide to add on a bunch of other optional leather bits (like the dash and doors with deviated stitching, steering column, sun visors, crests on the headrests and console lid) and also deviated seat centers and didn't crack $8K, all in.

You have a leather head liner? I would like to see a picture of that!
FWIW, Alcantara and Race-Tex are two similar products, but from different manufacturers.
