yah ditto, I saw it on a 992 in overcast skies and was totally underwhelmed by it.... looked like a midnight blue

Default Pre-drilled holes in the front bumper

Did anyone notice pre-drilled holes in their front bumper(s) for the license plate mount for the 2020 718 GT4. I asked the dealer not to drill any holes in the front bumper and they are telling me the bumpers come pre drilled. I can see the holes under the PPF, and they are an eye sore, and I think overtime with dirt getting in it will ruin the PPF.

Please post photos of your front bumper or chime in. Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by 'pre-drilled' I am positive that the Porsche factory doesn't do this, perhaps you should post a picture of 'your' front bumper?

Holes are not pre-drilled, however, there are dimples in the front bumper indicating where to drill. I explicitly asked my dealer not to drill the holes and they did not, but the dimples are still visible under the right lighting conditions.

something tells me your dealer screwed up and drilled when they weren't supposed to.

I currently have a metallic black GTS and keeping it looking nice is a real pain. How easily does Gentian Blue show dirt/imperfections? I'm concerned because it's a darker color.

this. There are dimples and sensors.

My dealer made me sign a document stating I took responsibility for fixing the front plate, since that’s legally required. But the dealer didn’t ask. It was just assumed that’s what any right thinking person would want. They said they’d go do it if I really wanted but they’d cry. We had a good laugh.

Anyone? Still trying to decide between this and CWM for my GT4.

GB is a beautiful colour, but make no mistake it is very close to black when it comes to keeping it looking good, I mean really keeping it looking good, unless of course this is not really your thing. I still have a Dark Blue Metallic in the family (Macan), and drove DBM Boxster's for 8 years so from real world experience I would say unless you really enjoy taking care of dark paint jobs choose carefully!

Note the colour of my Spyder!

Thanks... yeah kind of what I was afraid of. That's a shame too, I love the color, but I just don't think I'm up for the task of keeping it looking perfect.

it's a much brighter blue, so unless you're up close or parking it outside, it doesn't show like black. It's leaning towards the dark colors of course, but you kinda have to pick between your light dirt and your dark dirt poison. If it were me, I'd just get a ceramic coat instead of a different color ....

I still think that they are very close, and as for ceramic coatings, they help to to wash dirt off they don't stop dust or dirt from landing on the painted surface.
