It’s unfortunate that Porsche does not offer the variety of color combinations on the GT4/Spyder as it does on its GTS products. Offering more interior (well even ext colors) options and upgrades is a chance for more profits.

Only noticed your post late, sorry. It was shot with a Canon 5d iv with a 24-70mm lens on 26mm. It is a blend of multiple shots, each at f11 for 8 sec at ISO 400. Only the background was shot at f2.8 for 30 sec and ISO 800.

Plus I don't trust my passengers not to damage it or cause me cleanup work versus wiping off leather.

The 718 brochure I found has a page towards the end that lists out recommended and partially recommended color combinations. I found it just searching online, but I see the USA brochure that comes up doesn't have the color combination table. This one does on pages 123-124, though: https://files.porsche.com/filestore/...8-Brochure.pdf
Thanks for the brochure link. I don’t fully agree with their color tables. I wonder if there’s a brochure like this specifically for the GTS 4.0.

I found a GTS 4.0 brochure on the UK site, but it is much shorter than the one I previously linked and doesn't have the color info:

https://files.porsche.com/filestore/download/uk/en/718-gts4-brochure/default/ae718cc8-62da-11ea-80c8-005056bbdc38/718-GTS-4-0-Brochure.pdf

Edit: I checked the 992 UK brochure and it lists all the current colors, but doesn't talk about color combinations.

I finally picked up my GB GT4 last friday and was able to put about 300km (200 miles) over the week end. I wish I had time to do more but its coming!

Everything has already been said/debated a million times but my short take is gearing does not seem to be a problem (to me anyways). Sound is good with valves open so first mod will be the Soul switch to control the valves.

I’m blown away by everything else (steering/gear shift/suspension-dampers/bucket seats (getting the technique down to climb in-out)/looks...

The clutch is a bit light to my taste (would have liked it a bit harder and progressive at clutch engagement) but this is not a big deal and I already got used to it over the week end.

For those waiting for the car, hang in there it’s worth it!!

Oh! Forgot... I also got the racing stripes on radiator. Will follow the specific thread for updates on that... but I tend to forget about them once I start the car!

I totally agree. All I want to do is go out and drive. Only 116 so far...

@kart125 Awesome time and the car looks fantastic, great touch with the custom sill plate, well done!

I like the interior as well, looks sharp with the GB, this combination was one of my front runners for the Spyder, in the end I kept the interior with yellow deviated stitching and went with a Chalk exterior. I also agree about the gearing, not a real issue in my mind!

Until the last minute of vehicule lock I was debating chalk vs gentian (every other option and specs being equal). The GB was a bit hard to size and I saw a couple of 911's at the dealer... I was not completely sold. But after seing the GT4 in the flesh and looking at it over the weekend in different lighting conditions I'm really happy with my choice. I think it looks better on the GT4 than on the 911's I've seen.

Congratulations Kart, amazing car and spec! Obviously I'm biased to like this color! Quick question: what are these radiator racing stripes? What is the purpose? Avoid that debris hits the radiators? Where do you get them?
I saw after 3 track days that the radiator has already been quite a bit pitted.

Thanks

Took delivery of my Spyder week ago. No stripes like the others have reported. Unplugged the exhaust valves (capped with grub screw) and run open all the time...sounds okay and will do until my Soul Race exhaust gets here. Not sure what all the fuss is about with the tall gearing....fine by me. Have 400 miles on it already and love it.

Is unplugging the exhaust valves covered in the SOUL thread or is that something you came up with?

Just crossed 1,000km over the week-end due in large part to a group run with 90+ other P cars. So...half way there! Starting at 1,200km I'm going to begin increasing the rev out by 1k rpm for every additional 200km, to get me to 8K by the time I hit 2,000km.

Car feels really good and I even got a few compliments from the 911 guys on the spec ....Def need to do something about this exhaust...car is WAY too quiet for my liking. The Akra sound clip on their website sounds pretty good, might look into that set up.

Thanks for the comments! Actually you have to be "chosen" to get racing stripes!

No seriously it's a problem some owners have noted on radiators (see last picture of my post above). Seems like dripping of some sort, not clear what causes them so if you didnt get them, you are good to go!

read the "exhaust flap switch" thread. Detailed info there. I did the grub screw method. Easy install and works great. Just make sure the car is cooled off before reaching down there, oh, and probably a good idea to have gloves on when pulling on the line in case your hand decides to hit something sharp when the line suddenly comes off....trust me, I know.
