Default Urgent Request - Build Advice/=

I just found out that my freeze date got pulled in by a month and I need to finalize my build. I currently specc'd carbon fiber interior, but I'm waffling between anthracite. Anyone have good pictures of either?

Also, anyone have a picture of black PCCB calipers on platinum wheels?

Whaaa?! Build pulled up? Well that’s unexpected. Congrats on that good fortune.

Anthracite? I guess you are building a GT4? Your avatar shows a Spyder. I am confused.

I don’t have the photos sorry. I would be hard pressed to black out PCCBs though. Unless the yellow clashes with something... it’s a nice visual statement in yellow.

Thats a good news!! I wish mine gets pulled ahead so I can stop doubting my choices! What was your original lock date?

I had the same debate about anthracite trim for my build. There are some pretty decent pictures in the press photos that Porsche released last summer of both carbon interior (on the yellow car I think) and anthracite trim (on the red car if I remember). I ended up going carbon since I went with black wheels (I try to keep the number of colors to a minimum - maximum 3). The anthracite added a color to the build, but if you go with platinum wheels, the anthracite trim would be a nice recall of that color in the interior.

As for blacking out the PCCBS, I agree with Jim. If for some reason the yellow is clashing go black, otherwise they look darn cool in yellow!

What color is your build? It could help us help you?

not a 982, but looks the same as my 981. I would go with Carbon Fiber. The anthracite trim I’ve seen in GT3s looks good but doesn’t match anything in the interior, but it Looks great and matches the buckets/doorsills if you get them.

Well I went anthracite, which was my initial choice. And I left the PCCBs yellow. The car is otherwise pretty low key (GT Silver, platinum, grey stitching, etc.), so a little color couldn't hurt.

SA said he doesn't know exactly how this will impact delivery, but should know more in a week or so.

PLMU7BS0

I switched over to the GT4 about 10 days ago. Love both cars, but the GT4 was more my style all along.

Classic spec. I hear ya always been a coupe guy. I think the anthracite is a nice break with LWBS already being in CF it makes them stand out giving them a WOW factor but both work well.

Pictures from the Chicago Car Show. I went with Anthracite Brushed Aluminum on my GT Silver. In person it’s stunning.

I think the anthracite will work well with the GT Silver and grey stitching motif.

Here is something with Black Calibers. I'm sticking with red, though the wife is yapping in my ear for black...

Janko goes into DETAIL about his choice of Black Calibers.

What ever your choice, it will be fantastic! Just make it a reflection of you.

Cheers.

That was exactly my build for the Spyder I was initially ordering, GTSilver, silver wheels and PCCB with black calipers. But with the GT4, I prefer the platinum wheels and I don't think the black works as well with the platinum wheels. I know the yellow does, so I left them yellow. A little color.

Archimedes if this is your build colour of your car - beautiful- this is one of the best looking pics of GT4 I have seen. I know it’s a 981. Some think 982 looks even more aggressive. Check out thread on Rennlist on “5 reasons Cayman GT4 is one of the best Porsche’s ever” . Enjoy from a Spyder fan who appreciates the GT4.

Really glad you posted those pics Iliveoncaffeine! You inadvertently helped me change my spec lol. Thought I was deadset on the red stitching...
