Had anthracite on the Gt3: there was already a little scuff on the central trim near the gearbox the day of collection...very delicate trim.

I specces carbon inserts for the Spyder I am waiting for...love their racing look but also the fact they change aspect depending on the angle you look at them: it’s definitely not a “flat” material

I chose carbon fibre because I got the LWBS, matches better, otherwise I would go anthracite.

personally I like the exterior paint trim, plus its a no cost option. Lastly, GT silver would look great!!

I got anthracite as well.
Happy with my choice but wish it was darker.
I almost thought they gave the standard aluminium trim instead.

I went with leather trim but my do over would be carbon fibre (car Is supposed to be built by Friday so too late to change) And I did consider CF - I had it in a few builds I did on configurator. Last night I watched the review of the 911R and noticed the manual shifter **** - I think it looks brilliant in Carbon Fibre and thought it would really compliment the CF trim in Spyder. It is around 900 bucks at Suncoast. I may do it anyway, but man I think it would have complemented the CF Trim. You can order with different stitching.

Does the shift **** always come with the boot or can they be separated? I'd prefer to keep my alcantara boot with matching stitching (the Suncoast options won't match), paired with the CF shift ****. I'd assume the shift **** twists right off like almost every other car, but I'm second guessing that assumption based on the options available on Suncoast...

I believe any option your order related to an OEM Porsche shifter on Suncoast comes with the entire thing: boot + ****.
You can separate them after getting it, of course, but you have to pay for both.

Thanks, was thinking the boot is physically attached to the **** at the base which is why they're selling it as a set. Might check with my local dealer next week when I'm in for service to see if they have a P/N for just the **** only.

Thanks WC; did a quick google search and it looks like the shift **** and boot are connected together with some pressure clips. Looks like an easy swap between OEM shift ***** if you want to reuse your boot, except that you have to pay for the boot as well.

I think the CF shift **** looks awesome, just not $1000 awesome!

@Illusive991 BTW, those are $US prices as well.

Oof, right. Probably can't recoup much of the cost trying to sell the boot either haha. Will see what the dealer says next week when I drop by. Might be a bit more palatable direct from the dealer here. Still a tough price to pay for just a shift ****...although it does look great with the CF trim.

Agree, CF trim in the Porsche is pretty quality and doesn't look flat and uber fake plastickity. Thought anthracite is nice, but found it boring in the cabin when I was in a GT4 recently.

Here's a cheaper alternative that looks OEM: https://shop.db-carbon-interieur.de/...s/1151G42-0001

Can also get it in alcantara for the same price as Suncoast: https://shop.db-carbon-interieur.de/...s/1621G42-0001

Don't think I've seen a CF alcantara shift **** outside of the link above.
