2021 Model Year GT4/Spyder
Just got word from my dealer that they received noticed that the 2021 MY GT4/Spyder Port Release is scheduled for December 4th... typical changeover is after the August German summer break... add in transport... roughly equals about 2-3 month MY extension.
Additionally heard due to factory capacity being slowly ramped up, existing allocations will be spread out more to accommodate. They want me to check back after the May 4th reboot to get a better understanding what that means for my build schedule.

Not clear. What is the latest MY 2020 will be built and delivered?
I was told a delivery date of late October. Will that still be a 2020 or 2021?

So if you order in September you’ll get a 2021, right?

I have a July lock, November delivery and the dealer has told me that it is currently expected to be a 2020 car, but that it could change, particularly if there are any delays. And I expect there will be delays, so people like me with late year deliveries should probably be prepared to get a 2021 car and have a slightly higher price.

Personally if I can get 5-6 months in my 2020 before a 2021 is released I am reasonably happy.

My SA just notified me that Porsche cancelled my MY 2020 July allocation, moved it to September with an early December delivery, and changed it to MY 2021 car.

My understanding is that they cancelled it because of the production shutdown and delays in getting cars built, which is pushing everything back.
