At first, I go full xpel because I'm planning to keep the car as long as I could, and the car just look like a baby 918. That's why I go with the "Porsche Owner keeps their car bling bling" method by going full xpel and ceramic coating.
I sent the car in before track days. The shop only did certain layer at the time. Finished tracking the car and I've lost a little interest. I'm actually looking to see if there's any idea from the forum on how to fix it's under steer problem. Did some research and some say soften the front sway bar/go wider front tires. I'm going to give another chance and bring it to LRP next month and see how it goes. Wish me luck.

.. be sure of put your comment on the Porsche AG customer survey!

1. Corner balance
2. Align
3. Seat time with an instructor.
4. You will want to keep the car forever.

If not, put a number out on this forum and your car will be sold in a day.

@Gerald, you might eventually find that the car is not for you, and that’s fine.

But generally I think it’s pretty safe to assume that Porsche know what they are doing when building a GT car, and that there’s a certain amount of expectation for the driver to develop an acuity to how to get the most out of it. It looks like from your Instagram account that you can film your track session. It’d be helpful to post your laps to see how severe the undesteer is. If the car truly feels off, perhaps an alignment and balance could be a good idea, just in case.

And yes, the car has adjustable components for a reason, but there’s also some pretty helpful threads out there that are worth considering before you give up on the car entirely:

https://rennlist.com/forums/gt4/9346...ersteer-2.html

And as you likely already know, aero is also adjustable to your liking, impacting front end grip at high speed corners. There’s a nice series from Dundon that is helpful to those who are regularly tracking their GT4s:

In terms of sound, there are already quite a few respectable companies making killer solutions (e.g., Soul, JCR, Fabspeed, etc) to provide a greater aural experience, if it’s lacking.

Spyder does not have it. I wish they did program it with that option. Sometimes I get confused upShifting and forget that I am in a Spyder and not a GT3T....It is a great feature to have on street and track once you program your head to keeping a steady right foot at any RPM. At full throttle, the exhaust note sounds exactly like a PDK shift. I am disappointed that they opted not to have it in the 718.

Back on topic, could Speed shift be added by an after market software patch? Hasn’t the aftermarket offered similar offerings in the past?

Wish the GT4 had no lift shift. I actually quite enjoyed that on my 991.2 GT3 once I got used to it. Maybe as some have stated above, it could be coded/tuned in the future.

Quick Reply: No lift shift in 718 GT4/Spyder
