Tried no lift shift. Does not work on the 718 GT4. Tried it with no buttons pushed as well as autoblip, exhaust, and start/stop. This car does not have this feature for sure.

Thanks for confirming. Would've been cool but not a big loss. I'm picking up my Spyder in 2 days, can't wait.

So yeah, when you're on the throttle and clutch in, the revs simply go up. It doesn't take the throttle over like the GT3 does.

Doesn't matter, car is awesome!

I feel like it's easier to rev-match yourself than the GT3, might be why they didn't bother with the nannies.

Apparently it wasn't included because the car wouldn't pass WLTP with it, according to Janko Lind, the guy that interviewed AP.

Go to 2:50 mark.

Hmmm, so no WLTP enforcement in the US and Canada, maybe we can get no-lift-shift enabled for our cars...?

I watched this again last night and couldnt stop laughing and crying at the same time watching him do a 12 grand rpm launch which produced a billowing cloud of clutch smoke
Im still crying

Pity if no no-lift feature on the new cars, I loved it on GT3 and it definitely made track work easier and faster with the manual. Made a cool sound too. On the road was also very appreciated, it's one of the few items which the 911R lacks in comparison.

I remember discovering this feature during European delivery, was a total joy, and playing with it all over the Stelvio Pass.. I had made a little video to capture the sound.. 5:15 is a good spot:

The lack of rear axle steer and no lift shift make this a purer car.

Simple mechanical grip and driver focus.

Just go drive it!

For reference, here's a video with AP (Andreas Preuninger, head of GT at Porsche) saying they have speed shift (5:30 mark):

Here's a thread discussing that feature on the GT3:
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...991-2-gt3.html

I just picked up my 718 GT4 2 weeks ago and throw in 1000 miles. I brought it to the track and it was terrible at mid corner. The car understeer like an AWD. Then, I tried flat foot shifting and it doesn't hold the RPM, it just went all the way to 8000 rpm. There's no button to activate it. The only nice thing about the GT4 is auto-blip function. I can brake really late and no need to worry about heel toe downshift. The exhaust button literally do nothing and the car sounds like vacuum cleaner. Oh, one last thing, the car doesn't sound like a Porsche GT cars at alI. I might have to return it to the dealership and get something else.

If you hate the car to begin with, why bother spending $$$$ on full Xpel and ceramic coating it only to return it? doesn't make any sense...
