No lift shift in 718 GT4/Spyder
Has anyone tried to no-lift-shift a 718 GT4 or Spyder already? Does it work the same way as in 991.2 GT3?
For reference, here's a video with AP (Andreas Preuninger, head of GT at Porsche) saying they have speed shift (5:30 mark):
Here's a thread discussing that feature on the GT3:

It is most effective when you have the throttle floored, but not at all necessary. It is actually smoother and less stressful to the car than you can do yourself.
If you try it at like 3,000 rpm and light throttle, you should have time to react in the unlikely event that the no-lift shift does not work (and revs spike).

@arek @ralphmusic assuming you have the manual for your cars, is it in the section on driving or the transmission, if so can you post a copy of the page(s) here?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I asked because I use this feature in my GT3T (and yeah, you can do it at any engine speed) and I would love to have it in the Spyder as well.

Thank you for starting this thread. I was going to ask the same question, but you beat me to it.
I am picking up my spyder in Germany in early July and was wondering if this feature was available. I also use it in my manual GT3.

So you kept the throttle pinned, depressed the clutch pedal, shifted and then let the clutch pedal up, on a car without no lift shift? What happened when you did that?

Hopefully, it would be very obvious to the driver not to release the clutch pedal while redlining.

Tried to use it on my 3.
I was never really able to shift my mind to not lift a bit. Muscle memory I guess!
Cool feature if its in the new GT4/Spyder!

It makes driving in traffic a tad nicer using the partial throttle no lift, on track it’s nice but half the time from 4th to 5th I forget I have it lol. 3rd to 4th I use it all the time on track, but the 5th gear shift is tricky so I tend to forget and use lift. This is on my gt3, I am super pumped to have it on my incoming gt4! (Gt4 is my wife and I shared car)
