I wont spec it on mine but I could see myself maybe trying it out in Vinyl down the line just to change the looks without doing something that was not a Porsche option.
I think it's a personal choice, just as color or doing any aftermarket mod that mimics the OEM option....it's for the owners enjoyment.
Regarding who knows, who cares ?, and I agree it is for the owners enjoyment!

Definitely not in-person, and subject to color rendering, etc., but at least all in one place, and grouped by color family, I saved this pdf list of all colors from the configurator...

Here is a 2nd video of the JCR muffler for the GT4RS with Archie's comments along with info from the owner of JCR. Use cc to understand the discussion inside the cabin of the GT4RS.

I did find that and it’s helpful. I still wanted to see colors or cars side by side.

You could go to a good paint/body shop and ask them to spray some samples of the colors you are considering...I have done that in the past as getting the dealer to order PTS samples is almost impossible.

I’m torn. I think the carbon hood is cool but sometimes looks a little “tuner”. The big stripe will help that to look more factory GT2. Am I correct if you pick Weissach package you have to take the exposed carbon hood? I would prefer a painted hood. That said I would consider the Porsche factory skinny stripe I have had on other GT cars. If you use a contrasting color center stripe over carbon that works with the body color that might be nice. For example shark blu, red calipers, black carbon hood red factory Porsche center stripe. Would love like hell to pull off red calipers on PCCBs! Black is better than yellow but is still hidden. 🤷‍♂️

Porsche in The Netherlands is allowing customers to test drive the importer's GT4RS. In Germany every new GT4RS owner was even invited to a track day in the GT4RS (Hockenheim). All confirmed to me that the sound is absolutely to die for. I bought my GT4RS (delivery October) for absolute driving pleasure and sound, not laptimes. Seems the GT4RS delivers! Questions to those that drove the car already: what was perhaps your reservation / different from expected?

Didn't realise I'd need to budget a new set of tyres every time I filled up

No point in a RS if you're not prepared to use Cup2R and budget accordingly.
