I have my order in at the dealer, and today I tried changing the brakes to PCCB's and I'm told that the factory sent a communication saying there's delays on PCCB's for 718's and certain 911's, and that currently the option of ordering it with PCCB's is not available.
I initially put my order in with Steel brakes, and decided to change, but seems I'm out of luck.

Not sure what you're driving now but if you haven't driven the GT4 with the steel brakes you're in for a pleasant surprise. We have them on our 2022 GT4 and I have never ran out of braking power with them on the track. If I was to do anything different I might have paid the $(CDN)1,040 to have the calipers painted black, since the red clashes somewhat with the Shark Blue, but that's it.
This...plus the 4RS has 408 mm front discs (GT4/Spyder is 380 mm for Iron). A simple pad change and you have more braking power and better modulation than PCCB...but I understand some people got to have the PCCBs for various reasons.

Then you can get the Manthey upgrade to the PCCB’s with brake lines and their special brake fluid… Kick *** for the lord I’m glad I got to spec the PCCB’s while they still were in stock😇

Border line is my guess. I had a rigged 996.2 GT3CS wich was way over the top for daily driving. 97% useless on public roads. On track it was a marvel, after Manthey had set the geo to Autobahn+. I’m thinking of taking it down to Meuspath for brake lines, pads, fluids and geo once I have it delivered. Would be a cool brake in trip.

10154USD converted is what I was charged for the bonnet stripe. Remember it’s manual labor where they take the damn car off the assembly line and a dude uses the best part of a week hand painting the bonnet and rear spoiler. No wonder it costs a bunch.

On the 4RS .....2 mm is not going to make any difference...and the variety of pads for Iron make it a much better braking system if you track. You can upgrades the lines on both systems too...they are the same....plus fluid.

It's not like Manthey has the market for magic brake fluid cornered...stick some Ferodos on there with some Castrol fluid and you're good to go. I've hit irons hard in 100+ temps in Austin and not had issues.

Most seem to forget that in Europe not factory parts require approval prior to installation on a car. And yes, that even extends to brake pads, etc. Open minds please.

That's great to hear.
Yea I got a call from my dealer today that there was no way for me to change my spec for PCCB's. The factory gave them two options - Wait for a different allocation later in the year (Which still doesn't guarantee PCCB's because they don't know when they would be available), or buy the brakes later on as a separate package, which is much more expensive.
So yea, steel brakes with Black calipers it is.

Yes, I'm going with the Steel brakes and black calipers. I also asked if it was possible to remove the big "PORSCHE" on the back window. We will see.
