Can you scan those pages and post them here so we can all read the exact verbage that they used. Porsche is usually elusive on their descriptions of downforce. Instead of just coming out with it, they will say like the rear wing has 20% more than the last model and the rear diffuser now accounts for 30% of the total rear downforce. Thankfully, it was well stated that the rear of the 718 GT4 has a total of 268 pounds of downforce, but is this at top speed or the commonly used figure of 186 mph. In our particular case for the 718 GT4, they also state that it has 50% more downforce than the previous model. But at what speeds, maybe 183 for the 981 and 186 for the 718?? Always somewhat mystical in the way that they describe things.

Looks like a YouTuber in the US may have gotten their chance at a ride.

Thanks. That kinda sounds like it applies to the rear wing only, but who knows. If that is the case, and there is 268 pounds of total downforce on the rear of the 718 GT4, and 70% of the that downforce is for the wing, then that equals 188 pounds of downforce for the rear wing alone. Then multiplying that by 60% would equal another 113 pounds of downforce on the rear end of the RS. Then adding those two figures together yields a total of 381 pounds of downforce on the rear of the 718 GT4 RS. It then makes sense that there would be at least 120+ pounds of downforce on the front of the car with all of its upgrades to balance things out. Again a number in the 500+ range.

killing me that there's still no test drives yet on the 4RS....what's taking them so long?

Yeah. I would think it should be any day now. It's been over 2 months since the launch and the first run of allocations have already dropped. The GT3 embargo was roughly 2 months post launch, but I haven't been able to find any hard dates for the press embargo on the GT4 RS. I haven't even seen any teaser shots. What's going on? Somebody here has to be in the know.
