718 GT4RS

I am going to speculate that the motor is wet sumped so same sump as the normal car but withn GT3 top end, pistons and rods and maybe additional oil spays for cooling. ITB's for sure hence the new intakes.

And you still haven't add anything to the car....never mind the WP....lets see what pricing they have in mind for the US. It could be slightly different from ROW.

In all honesty the Boxster/Cayman is not the Porsche flagship car and I doubt how many would be willing to pay over $200k for such a car. Also, what unique features do you think the Spyder RS can have other than the GT4 RS engine and possibly slightly increased aero over the regular 718 Spyder? Honestly, I love the idea of a 6 speed manual Spyder RS but nowhere near twice the price point of the 'standard' Spyder. I would not pay more than $30-40k over the 'standard' Spyder for such a car. And I sincerely doubt many will jump ship onto the Spyder RS at over $200k MSRP.
There is also a final send off car coming for the 718 platform that will be numbered and even harder to get/rare/expensive, think 911 R.

True. The 992 GT3 is $161k base, so $10-20k under feels ‘right’. The engine and body cost for Porsche is the same, so the extra cost is in suspension, rear steer, etc. With WP and mag wheels for $170k… sign me up!

2. carbon fiber hood and fender
3. modified (smaller) front lip and corner guiding vane thingy
4. same brakes
5. same spring rates and damper settings
6. forged wheel with mag wheel option
7. it would have to a further detuned engine since it won't be able to have the quarter window intake
8. titanium exhaust
9. assume wheels and tires will be a bit larger
10. lighter glass
11. may come with PDK AND 6MT since the Spyder simply can't be as "hardcore" as the GT4 RS and may be more about the experience

Guessing the market is the exclusive buyer that wants a badass convertible MT mid-engine with crazy hp and a car that very very few are able to buy.

Add in the ADMs being asked here in the US @Reedy, its $200, $225 with a few options. Almost 2x my 2020 GT4.
Its the whole market right now that does not make sense. I wish the US would be regulated like in Europe and no ADM.

Thumbs up to the performance, but thumbs down to the styling. I didn’t think you could make a 718 look fugly, but they somehow managed it. Looks like something you’d get if somebody took their GT4 and then just bolted on some 991 RS parts that didn’t really fit just to make it look RS’y.

No you don't. In general, a free market is far superior to a regulated market.
Indeed, though of course I don't know you, there's a good chance you are where you are today because of this free market.

I can't reveal too much from what I've been told but it will have some very unique body work that has not been seen on the 718 Spyder or even Speedster which is why it will carry a big MSRP increase. Like I said I hope my cleaning lady is wrong but right now the RS Spyder has some very unique design elements and is going to be asking a big MSRP supposedly.
