Or they go lite because they will drive’em as intended; on track instead of a fair weather coffee and donuts garage queen. 🤣

Agreed: if my allocation comes through will be light on options for me. Most I have talked to that have allocations seem to be north of 200k. I am trying to keep it south of 160k. It will see more track miles then street miles.

While I also prefer to use them (and see them used) as intended, my guess is the ratio is at least 80/20 the other way...

If you go back to the old 981 blog you'll find an endless discussion of wheels and brakes to satisfy you for hours and hours.
Whaaa... it just got away from poseur land and into serious land for once and you're trying to shut it down?

i think with WP:

1) we will get a bit of Ram-Air and so a couple of hp on high speeds.

2) the sound from the cf airbox will be better intead of plastic.

?) and of course the Honda-Civic-styled-fronthood

thats why i picked the WP on the GT4RS (for the first time)

what are you guys thinking about my point 1) and 2)

PAG is trying very hard for people with allocations to pile on the options.....just look at the color choices and in order to get PTS guess what's added...WP and the WP leather/RaceTex interior.
Want Mag Wheels?...you need the WP and the Interior option.....just the WP, you also get the Interior option.

By far the best part of the WP is the Race-Tex dashboard trim.

Followed by the titanium rollcage (Which US doesn't get)

Race-Tex dashboard is cool. true.

i take the steel rollcage - save 3k€ - and with steel it is ok for FIA and for a front-rollcage-extension.

Seem to recall some criticism of titanium as roll bar material. Did I imagine that or is there some issue?

Did not realize the rollcage wasn't included in the US spec'd WP until just now. That's a bummer considering it's essentially the price to pay for exposed carbon everywhere.
