The engine bay is completely sealed under the engine cover so no need for a window separating the cabin... Unlike most other mid engine cars.

Not a GT4RS, not even a 718, but a picture of my old 981 Cayman S with a replacement HIP glass engine cover sort of illustrates how the engine cover separates the actual engine bay from the passenger compartment, this one obviously glass instead of the usual metal or 4RS carbon fiber with some extra air intakes plumbed through it...



So this perhaps now makes more sense...

And this comment just kills me, because there are actually not actually many bright colors offered!

ptsshades The 718 GT4 RS wears bright colors incredibly well, and Pastel Orange, as featured here, is certainly no exception to that.


Yellow, Red, and Shark Blue. No Python. No new 🍊. Unless you crack out $28k for WP and PTS and end up with a 180-190k Cayman!

If I'm fortunate enough to score an allocation I'm going either Yellow or Black. Black hides some sins.

Don't think it will. Intakes and Engine Cover more than likely make it so it won't fit.

That's kind of what I figured. The one good things about not getting the car right away is that tuners will have plenty of time to come up with track mods.

Can't stand the JDM style black hood. Wish there was a way to get WP goodies with normal painted hood.

You will probably be able to order those parts at a later date once they become available.....not sure if they will require a valid VIN number to order WP parts.

Yea probably there will be a cxx option to get a painted hood for WP. But seems silly to check an option then pay more to undo some of it . For 991.2 GT3 RS, they offered WP with both types of hood. Let us hope they do that again.
