So when is the reveal? The Youtube video linked above indicates that it'll be live in the next 10 hours (7 pm tonight?) but the other posts say 5pm Central European Time on the 17th which would be 10AM PST tomorrow (Wednesday the 17th morning)

They would probably sell out even if the base was priced at $159K.

Fuel consumption / Emissions
fuel consumption combined (NEDC) 12.3 l/100 km
CO₂ emissions combined (NEDC) 281 g/km

Similar consumption and emissions is strong evidence that it is basically a GT3 engine.
I think the low fuel economy and high emissions is probably even more affected by the new low/close gear ratios (including 7th gear which is a real performance gear for the first time on this platform) than the engine change...

No, you are wrong. GT4 RS does have the 992 Gt3 engine. One Journalist (I cant say who)at LA has talked with the Director of GT4 RS. The Information has been confirmed.

I think you didn't get his message...obviously the whole engine is exactly the same but the other stuff he mentions which are accessories of the engine will have to be modify to work on the mid-engine platform.

Clearing my calendar for 8pm pt....

Please, please, please PAG and AP, don't disappoint us...although it doesn't seem like this car is going to be a disappoint with what we know so far from the "leaks." I suppose price will be a big factor which will need to include the inevitable ADM. The other huge "what" is what engine is in it? If it's a tuned GT4 engine to 8500 rpm or even to 9000 rpm, will that disappoint? What if it spins faster and "only" makes 425-450hp? Will that disappoint? What if it's the GT3 engine and detuned to 8500 rpm to make 450-475 hp? Will that disappoint?

I hope we know for sure tonight.

It is the 500ps version 992 GT3 EA9A1 Engine. Revs is the same as GT3, up to 9000rpm.

We already saw the engine rev to 9k in the Ring lap video…

And we already saw a speed on the Döttinger Höhe straight there that is only possible with ~500hp in this chassis with downforce…

I'm not sure about that. In epa testing the car is going to shift into 7th gear at 30mph so I don't know if a few hundred rpm difference would matter much. Does economy testing even go over 60mph?
