Dealer Allocation Tracker

This. Seems pretty obvious, and common. Not sure why all the outrage. The conspiracy theories are entertaining, though.

These are hot cars. They have their local clientele. Selling a car to a local is likely playing the long game - that customer will hopefully come back to the same dealer for service, accessories, and when the time comes, another car. The guy from out-of-state will likely never be back.
I've experienced, firsthand, the value of having a solid relationship with my dealer. Not only for the opportunity to buy my Spyder at MSRP - but man, it's nice to bring a car in for service and know everybody. Need something done quick? "Yeah just drop it by, I'll squeeze you in." Service department out of loaners? Sales team usually has something they can toss me the keys to, so I can get to work and back. (And that in itself is also a long game... wouldn't have bought a Cayenne, or a Macan, without a bunch of cool loaners to sample first...)
I moved 800 miles away a few months ago. I'm getting ready to re-do a Macan GTS order I had to cancel earlier in the year. I'm really torn between buying from my old dealer... or trying to form a new relationship with my new local dealer.

Hey folks,
I’m looking for a GT4 allocation in WA, OR, ID, but it doesn’t seem that any of those dealers add more people to their waitlists.
I’ve found a dealership in NC that has a waitlist but it’s not clear how long it’ll take.
Any advice on securing an allocation in WA?

10 minutes? Where do you pull that figure from? I do it myself in well under two minutes. Probably closer to one minute.

Owners have also stated there is a “mechanical joy” to the effort. Provides a connection to a sports car that was once extinct. But sadly, will be again soon.

Not sure why Spyder owners are so eager to present something that is so obviously a disadvantage as a feature.
The Spyder is sportier, it looks better and it is more desirable - all true.
It has a more rough ride, it is nosier and its roof mechanism is stupid and nonpractical - also true.

Such pleasure having to find a place to stop and close the roof when it starts raining on your head...

I live in SF bay area so probably a similar climate - however - when driving up in the mountains, even on sunny days, it frequently drizzles.

Also living in the SF bay, whenever I do a driving day I pass through several micro-climates. The convenience of a powered top is amazing. Can't imagine I'd like pulling over to side of road and stopping every time there's a 20F degree shift. But then again, I don't have a Spyder, so I can't say for certain
