An update on my car. It supposedly started production 10/1, and finishes 10/23. One thing I noticed, and am surprised by the lack of attention to detail, is you see everywhere on their site that our cars are built at Zuffenhousen, when it's been literally years that is not the case. All of the window stickers I've seen since I can remember say they were built in Osnabrueck. Not a big deal at all, but surprised nobody has noticed that, and change it. Anyway, hope the stupid strike is over by then, so my car doesn't get delayed even more. We'll see.

I do not know if he drinks and I know nothing about liquor so I think maybe a gift card to a restaurant may fit better? What do you think?

That definitely sounds better to me. I don't drink anything either. Plus people like different drinks anyway. A gift card for a dinner for 2 is a much better gift IMO.

There was also a new ship (very first voyage) that left Emden on 9/26/24 named Future Way (IMO 9945590). It's headed to Halifax, scheduled for 2024-10-07 03:00 arrival.

Marvelous Ace departed Emden late on 9/27/24 arriving at Davisville on 10/10.

Amethyst Ace has already stopped at Halifax and Baltimore and is en route to Tuxpan, Mexico (9/30) and then likely back to Freeport, TX.
Looks like amethyst ace has docked at Freeport today. Maybe there’s hope. Let’s see if it leaves by tonight or tomorrow.

Talking about Freeport, seems like it wasn't included in the strike, right? It wasn't included initially, but some people said it could. The better question is if Porsche would send just the TX cars, or if they'd delay all cars until strike is resolved. Hmmm.

Well, looks like the strike is over tomorrow, so it shouldn't delay things too much.

Good day Rennlisters,
Been lurking for a while but why not share the fun

First of all, congratulations on your Cayman (regardless of any trims) in this thread!

Ordered CGTS 4.0 back in July 7th. I was originally in the market for an G80 M3 but I always had Cayman in my heart. I just didn't even bother thinking 2024 will be the last model year. I found out from the forums that there will be 2025 Model Year. So I called around and got an allocation in 2 days. I am seeing more people getting easier allocations and also getting small discounts (GTS 4.0 specifically).
Order was frozen 8/15. It did felt like a long wait since July 7th but ever since the production started on Sept 17th, I was getting updates pretty quick. The manufacturing process was completed on 10/1, started moving to the port since yesterday as below screenshot shows,

Dealer's system shows arrival to the dealer is 11/17 which seams about right. I think it will sail from Emden on Siem Aritotle on 10/12, arrival would be Davisville as a 2nd port call. If not lucky enough, then next sailing which will be Siem Cicero departing on 10/24, arriving Davisville on 11/5. It's all speculation. Fortunately, Port Davisville is not under the effect of the current on going port strike we are not getting delays on our deliveries.

Build is as below,
718 Cayman GTS 4.0
Exterior in Shark Blue
Leather Interior in Graphite Blue
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
"PORSCHE" Logo on Rear in Satin Black
Ventilated Seats
Smoking Package
LED Headights incl. PDLS
Electric Steering Column
Power Steering Plus
Deletion of Race-Tex
Model Designation Logo on Rear Changed to "718"
GT Sport Steering Wheel in Leather
BOSE Surround Sound System
Vehicle Keys Painted incl. One Key Pouch in Leather
Climate Control Panel in Leather
Door Panel Trim Package in Leather
Interior Trim in Leather in Interior Color
Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way with Memory Package)
Seat Belts in Shark Blue
Sun Visors in Race-Tex
Steering Column Casing in Leather
Porsche Crest on Headrests
Headlight Cleaning System Covers Painted in Exterior Color
Center Console Lid with Model Logo
Exclusive Design Fuel Cap
Premium Package

Sorry if I disappointed with PDK instead of manual. It will be 75% daily and 25% track so I made this decision.

My excitement has been growing bigger and bigger. As a result I pre-purchased some items without the Shark Blue baby showing up. So far I bought as below,
- Zunsport Grille Cover - Almost ordered one without the adaptive cruise radar cut out but got the right one.
- AA dongle
- Thinkware U3000 Dash cam + hardwire kit
- Uniden R8 Radar Detector
- LED side marker

Considering to buy,
- Floor mat - Not sure if I want this or not because I don't think I'll be driving a lot in wet conditions.
- Rennline cup holder that bolts to the passenger seat - Not sure on this as well. I am a gout patient and I always carry a 30oz Stanley tumbler but I can just get a smaller one if I don't want this lol
- Rennline magsafe phone holder - Not sure on this, too. I don't think I'll want to look at my phone while driving this.
- Frunk / Trunk mat - Need suggestion if anyone installed them and if they were any good.
- Tire & wheel set - 19 inch seems inevitable for track use but will be trying on stock rims with a bit fatter tires. Since the cold weather is coming so I might try all weather during this time to drive around for break-in.

Plan on doing,
- PPF/Ceramic/Window Tint - I am trying to see if the dealer can truck the car straight to my PPF shop on day 1. Does anyone has experience in this?
- Underbody coating - I have been doing underbody coating on all my cars from Ziebart. I am in NYC and rust is what I fear. I know I said I am trying not to drive during the wet weather but who knows.

I don't think I've seen any production line photos of Boxster/Cayman. Did you guy/gals that have finished production get a photo?

EDIT: apologies to the poster above me... I accidentally walked over his 1st post about his new CGTS... Sorry Bro!

Looks like amethyst ace dropped off some cars at Freeport and has now just departed! Woohoo! My car’s arriving next, tomorrow night at Freeport.
