718 / 982 Boxster & Cayman OEM Front Lip Spoiler Solution Now Available
Hi All. (edit to include Cayman update)
Some of you may know of my EMC2 Adapter Kit solution that allows the OEM Porsche 911 Sport Spoiler (from the 991 generation) to be correctly installed on 997.1 and 997.2 standard Carrera bumpers.
This solution was developed because these bumpers do not have any OEM Porsche spoiler options available.
I've been on Rennlist for 7 years (under the username EMC2) and have developed many solutions based on my own Porsches over the years. I am also a site sponsor under the EMC2design account.
These spoiler kits have have been used by enthusiasts around the globe who prefer to have a subtle, integrated look with an OEM spoiler, and high quality fitment.
I'm now pleased to announce that after a huge amount of development the 718 / 982 version is now ready also.
Please take a look at the video below and details on our website (where you'll also find a lot of great reviews and customer feedback).
Stock is still limited as the first kits have already shipped, but more will be available this coming week.
It's a great simple home DIY as you'll see from the installation overview video. Please feel free to email me with any questions at support@emc2design.com
Thanks to all and stay safe

@Red991S great question - I was waiting on one Cayman owner to conduct a test fitment (his plans were affected due to the current issues going on worldwide).
I know the 718 PET catalogue confirms identical bumper part numbers for Boxster and Cayman, but wanted to be 100% certain first.
Happy to work with another owner on Rennlist to help validate at a substantial discount.

WOW, this is great news, definitely interested.
Do you have a part # for the OE sport lip?
I failed on a quick search.
NM, I found it on Suncoast

Very nice - love it. Definitely on my purchase list. Do you have pics of front and side views, and compared to stock? I watched the video but some still pics would be great to see. Thx.

I'll post a bunch of pics when it arrives.
My car is Lava Orange so it should show well in pics.

There are a couple of pics on the website link below (bumper mounted) but I expect to have some more pics in the coming days from various customer installs.

Oh boy! Many likes. Going to have to do this. Really dumb question - do all the OEM parts remain on the car or does the black guard (sorry, don't know name - lowermost piece of trim) - stay or is it replaced with the spoiler? Thanks.

Thanks! Yes you have to remove the plastic trim piece under the front. takes two torx screws and a bunch of cllps the snap out. I'm gonna try and get some additional pics but it's a bit rainy here in NY so i'll have to wait till a break in the weather.
