Thanks @ldamelio As @Red991S said the small/thin lip needs to be removed, because the adapters leverage many of the same mounting slots.

And just to confirm - is this the correct spoiler? There are separate ones listed for the 991.1 and 991.2.

Thanks

@ldamelio thanks for the question, the part in the link above is not the correct one. The correct part number is 991505525011E0

On our site (link below) we offer 2 options:

Very clear install instructions, just follow them "to the t" and install takes less than 30 minutes. Well researched and developed product.
Great communication, fast shipping and customer service, doesn't get any better. Very happy with mine.

Looks very cool and aggressive but I have a question..... is this simply for looks? Most air dams are flatter to create a vacuum and not scoop like. This appears to be more scoop like directing air upwards into a dead space while also creating that splitter function.
Much like too much rear spoiler you can actually slow yourself down if it is not balanced in a wind tunnel....has it been on our 718's?

@Reiver good question.

This is an OEM Porsche Spoiler from the 991.1 generation & not an aftermarket product.

Aesthetics of course plays a big part in the decision for many people, myself included.

Regarding aero - The spoiler uses a similar profile to the 991 Turbo and 992 Turbo spoilers.
Granted the 718 does not have the same profile as the 991, but the air management effects low to the ground are likely* similar. The lowering of the leading edge profile is aimed at creating lower pressure under the nose for more downforce.
*I say likely, because it has not been validated independently in a wind tunnel, but then again neither are most aftermarket spoilers simply due to the cost vs market size.

Thanks...then I suspect it would work in a similar manner for a 718 that had an open center intake like the upgraded models...directing airflow to the radiator there while performing as a splitter too.
I would suspect that on a base model/one blocked off it would have a not so positive effect given the indentation/dead space...but that too is supposition on my part.
Anyway, it does look great.

Can't wait to get mine and install it.

Emc2design is great to deal with and their customer customer support is first rate.
My original order ended up in the dark recesses of USPS never to be seen again.
I've received many emails, (initiated by Emc2) keeping me in the loop with the situation.
They have shipped me another while USPS is sorting out the mess with the first one.
