Correct. No CEL on the dash but we haven’t scanned it yet. We got cut short today due to rain but she ran strong in the morning. We did a bunch of logs with the Accessport on two different tunes. More on that soon

Yeah, was a bummer and compounded by the fact I had a Spyder awaiting an allocation, I had to pull the trigger on a stop gap GTS, but got 14 months of activity in it so tried not to dwell on it. Put a ton of miles and track miles on the GTS so rationalized the cost as enjoyment I otherwise wouldn't have had

thanks for the update. after missing all of last year i am really looking forward to this year and this "fix" was supposed to be my cherry on top. i feel a little better with the mixed but better results. you said you had 2 b2b runs without problems and two with - can you tell us where they fell in? run 1 ok, run 2, ok run 3 bad, run 4 bad? trying to piece together what may have been contributing factors to the problem runs like increasing ambient temps.

i'm really on the fence. i love my 17 CS and the mods i have done to it but the overheating at the track is killing me. i'm hoping for a fix to be found before i buy a new track toy...

We had issues on the two middle runs of the four, and like I said it was just a very quick loss of power that came back after the next corner.

Saturday morning we did a back to back run and only the first of those two has some issues. The second session was one driver and although it was slightly raining the car was fine.

Default EQT - Equilibrium Tuning

Announcement Time! We would like to welcome Ed Susman and Equilibrium Tuning (EQT) to our awesome list of companies who've supported our build. EQT is a huge VW/Audi tuner from California, especially popular with the newer MQB cars, and has been working with the new Supra and even Ed's own 718 GTS which he tracks pretty often. Another added benefit of the Cobb Tuning Accessport is the ability to run different pro-tunes like this.

Ed has been developing a new custom 93 octane tune for our 718 the last two weeks and we had a chance to give it some test runs at Sebring this past weekend. He sent us a base file for us to road test and run some logs with before we got on track and even sent us a revision Friday night to reflash for our Saturday morning track sessions.

We're still in the early stages and will be putting the car on the dyno to get a proper tune and make some real power. Initial impressions were very good, the car felt quicker through the entire power band. Can't wait to see what type of magic EQT can create!

@SuncoastParts Were you able to check for codes from the weekend yet? Very curious if anything showed up.

my turn for good news / bad news....

the good - i stopped by the local dealer on my lunch hour today and was able to order the new temp sensor.

the bad - it's in germany and according to the parts guy there are only 4 available in the world right now - well make that 3 not including mine. if anyone is thinking about getting one you better order soon or it could be a long wait.

We have a live dyno session schedule with Ed and EQT on Tuesday 4/6 at a local shop. Really excited to see what we can squeeze out of our 718.

We will try to do a live GoPro video so you guys can "tune" in

Bummer! The shop had to reschedule so we couldn’t get on the dyno today as planned. No worries though, we’ll get her strapped down soon enough

We participated in the 2021 Celebration Exotic Car Festival this past weekend in Orlando which benefits Make-A-Wish and other great charities.

The car show was absolutely incredible with several multi-million dollar hypercars and a few 1-of-5 built machines, and while the 120-mile Sunday road rally was run mostly during a massive thunderstorm we had quite the company with us.

Even though we are still having those dreaded heat soak issues on track this car continues to prove to be phenomenal on the street
