We had an awesome phone conference with Mike from Girodisc yesterday about experimenting with an OEM+ brake package consisting of factory PCCB calipers and Girodisc's 350mm front/rear slotted rotors. Stay tuned for more info!

I just received my Girodisc upgrade set to use with the standard 718 S/GTS calipers in the 350mm front and 325mm rear and they do look like great quality and much lighter than stock.
With your 6 pot PCCB calipers it will look even better and no doubt provide even more braking endurance. I think the yellow should also go very nice with the green.
What I have been wondering is how the PTV adapts with the larger rear rotor given it is braking the inner corner wheel? Does it know the rotor is larger or in effect are we adding more brake bias? I am only going +25mm in the rear but you will be going +50mm so even more braking effect.
I believe BMW offers a software upgrade for some of their larger M-Performance bake kits but not sure if it has anything to do with the brake bias.

I spoke to Girodisk on this same issue but in my case I want at first to do just the the front rotor upgrade and keep the OE rear disk.
They told me the front to rear bias changes by barely 2% and poses no problem. If someone wants to really rectify that 2% change they can easily “fix” the issue by using a different brake compounds between the front and rear.
I don't think there is a big issue with front/rear bias as most braking is on the front anyway.
My question was to do with PTV and braking of the rear inner wheel on cornering. PTV is independent of front braking and will work even with no manual braking.
325mm is 8.3% larger disc, 350mm is 17% larger. This will give a little bit more rear braking for a given pressure but maybe in reality it is not much. Although you could say PTV is quite "aggressive". I frequently hear my rear brakes squeaking on fast tight cornering on Alpine drives and I know track users complain of premature wear of rear brake pads.
Did you guys have any issues with boost creep/overboost after going to the full straight piped exhaust (with cat delete)? I think I remember hearing about people on other forums that were having issues with the 718 when going straight piped.
We didn't feel anything other than a quicker car on track. BGB Motorsports have our logs from the track so we'll have a better idea as soon as they take a look at them

A few photos from the annual Porsches in the Park car show this past weekend hosted by Suncoast Porsche. Our close friend brought his very special Carrera GT and parked by us
I run those specs for track duty with Nitto 01 at my private track and works great. In fact, the track rental is a 718 S and use the specs I figure they have the know the best options for this car. I wouldn’t do the 18x11. Just my $0.2

Thanks for the input.
Then if using an 18 x 10 ET36 in the rear, what's the max size tire I could go?
Any issues with the rear wing? Would you have gone with Techart instead
The only issues we've had has been the bouncing at speed because it's a hollow design. In turn that causes cracking around the mounting point. We are in talks with Tarrett Engineering and will probably go with their carbon fiber wing for the 981/718 platform
Does anyone have a part number for the GT2 RS underbody spoiler pieces? Went to my dealer but we couldn't figure out the piece since there are a couple that look similar.
Also, that 718 Boxster GTS engine underbody is pretty pricey! $734 CAD + tax. I wonder if we could just cut up our current one (I haven't looked under the car yet).
For more downforce, someone on 718forum installed the OEM 718 GT4 rear diffuser. I just got a quote for that and it would be around $2,000 CAD + tax. if you're looking to create more downforce with much additional drag. Would have to balance it out with some more front aero too.
