Three fresh ones from pit road at Sebring during the 48 Hours this past weekend. Looking forward to finally getting back on track after a year away on March 5-6th.

It's finally time to get the car back in the shop for some much needed TLC (and upgrades). We are having a major service done along with installing the new turbo temperature sensor in the hopes that our limp mode issues will be solved.
We are also going to add our Suncoast Parts factory 718 GTS 4.0 big brake upgrade. We will be pairing the factory calipers and hardware with new Girodisc rotors and PFC GT3 brake pads. Fresh SRF fluid and a track inspection and she will be ready to go on March 5th.

What size Girodiscs will you be using?

The 6 pot calipers look nice and I assume will work a little bit better with the larger pad. Are you having to upgrade the master cylinder and I wonder if the GTS 4.0 has any different coding to the brake bias?

The Base, S and GTS 4.0 all use the same master cylinder. We don't have any plans to swap out to the GT4 master yet. When we install the new brakes we'll take a look and see if there's anything to code

Fingers crossed for ya'! I know there are a lot of S owners out there (beyond yourselves, of course) who'd like to find a fix.

I believe the rear S calipers normally take OEM 300mm or 325mm Giro, cf with the 4.0s 330mm. I assume you're keeping the fronts at the stock 4.0 350mm size to keep wheel diameter options open like 18s.

That's quite a jump up on the rear. Does that mean you're replacing the rear calipers as well with the 4.0 ones assuming they are also different from the rear S calipers?

The 718 GTS 4.0 uses a 4 piston rear caliper with a 330mm rotor. We are going to that caliper and pairing it with Girodiscs 350mm rear rotor.
Front caliper will be the 6 piston GTS 4.0 caliper with a 350mm Girodisc. We have 19's and don't really plan to step down to an 18" wheel

Heads up. If you want to improve your brake pedal feel so it is hard and not spongy you need to replace the brake master cylinder with the one from the 991 GTS (not the GT-3). Look at my tread. I did this a year ago and replacing the MC fixed the spongy pedal feel. Ask Jon at BGB. Good luck. See you on the 5th.
