Man, when are we going to get confirmed info?! I have cash deposits at two dealers and really low/early order slots...

Well, I'd guess whichever car show the 911 is not being debuted at. What is the next show after LA?

Here’s the link to the schedule I posted on page 1:

Take your pick. San Diego and Utah are after LA. But I’m betting on Spokane. LOL.

I'm the opposite, I have slot 40-something at one of 10 Australian dealers, and given that only ~200 981 GT4s came to Australia, I'm pretty much relying on several people ahead of me cancelling their orders.

I haven't seen this in the thread yet...but it's 100% been confirmed the new GT4 will have a 4.0 NA engine pushing 425 HP. Delivery's expected to be Q4 of 2019

Good news if true... last I heard, they shelved this plan for 3.8+Powerkit with similar output.

Fred V, does your data confirm whether a PDK will be offered as well as a manual?

Any idea when the car would be officially revealed?

How solid is your information source.

I'm interested to see a comparison between the 718 GTS and a GT4, at significant altitude. I bet they would be neck and neck. GT4 tires on the GTS and I bet the GTS has the edge.
Have you had your car out to high plains? I believe the gt4 record is 1:58 (I was 1:59) before I sold.

Curious to see what a well driven gts would run.

Agreed, detuned 4L but Porsche will say it's different from the GT3 engine. Will be very fast on track considering the 718 GTS is quicker than Cayman GT4 using same tires.

Dear all, recently I am hearing rumours, that 718GT4 may have 3.8L engine. This would be disappointment for me. For sure there must be some issue (technical or political). Originally dealer indicated delivery till 08/2018, now they don´t promise anything.
Another rumours is, that later will be more powerful version with RS badge, but also no confirmation from any side.
I was so excited to hear back in Jan of 2017 about new GT4 and now I am more and more concerned... I am afraid, that we can all only speculate until Porsche officially announce, but if somebody has good source, it will be great to hear some insights.
Thanks

I have no idea how your dealer would have indicated a 08/2018 delivery, that was never going to happen and I don't remember any speculation in the past that would have indicated that would be possible.
