Cacophony. Impossible to distinguish what’s what.

Definitely a turbo in that group of cars, but hard to say which one. I also didn't hear anything that sounded like a 9k redline GT engine. I suspect we'll find out at one of the auto shows this fall.

It's not going to be turbocharged and based on what's being speculated, it should still be a 3.8L. Nothing is known for sure but that's what it mostly seems like.

I kind of hope it's NA and not FI. Here in Colorado, FI is king, so I would like my CGTS to be king a little longer. I've gone to having a turbo truck (F150), turbo sports car (CGTS) and they flat out smoke their NA competition at our altitude.

I'm interested to see a comparison between the 718 GTS and a GT4, at significant altitude. I bet they would be neck and neck. GT4 tires on the GTS and I bet the GTS has the edge.

I drove a 718 Cayman S and it didn't feel as buttoned down or precise as my old GT4. Seemed to wander a little bit. Not scientific, but that was my impression.

The 718 Cayman S was only 5 seconds slower around the Ring than the GT4 (same driver). A GTS at altitude with Cup2's would almost certainly be quicker than the 981 GT4, likely much quicker.

Good question. I honestly don't remember. It was about a year ago or more. I was greatly relieved at the time, worried that I was going to want this beautiful graphite blue specimen instead of my 981Spyder. But after the drive, between the turbo lag, the wandering ride, and the above 90 price tag with no leather interior and no premium PKG or premium plus, this was a case of thanks but no thanks.

I saw two 981 Spyders at a C&C a couple of weeks ago. One black and one white with a red interior. Damn, what a sexy beast it is.

I noticed the same thing going from my 981 to my 718. I eventually got used to it. I believe it’s the tires.
