This is a great video! The guys on the HP seem to think it might be packing a flat-six. What do you think?

I'm pretty sure I hear blow-off valves as it brakes into the Variante della Roggia. And it doesn't sound like the typical Porsche NA flat-six. The first observation I'll bet on. The second not.

I'll take that bet. I hear brakes, or gears. You wouldn't hear a blow-off valve DURING braking, it would be during an upshift or letting off the throttle BEFORE braking.

And doesn't it sound like a less hardcore version of this?

It was pretty much confirmed by the head of the GT cars division that the new GT4 would be NA, and it sure does sound like one!

Looks like the upcoming GT4 Clubsport since it has a full roll cage and what appears to be 18" wheels.

I wrote above "... as it brakes ..." which is substantially different from "during" braking. The former is indicative of the onset and thus would be nearly coincident with throttle lift.
Furthermore, when the car is on the main straight approaching Variante del Rettifilo, you can hear a sound that seems like a pop-off valve after throttle lift and before braking on-set.

And doesn't it sound like a less hardcore version of this?

Nope. Sounds like a version of that with two less cylinders and a lower red line.

I'm calling F4 turbo.

Definitely lower redline. I'll disagree on 2 less cylinders and turbo.

We should find out any day now...

Someday never comes. Any upcoming cars shows that are likely candidates for a reveal?

Frankfurt in September seems like the next likely event.

Since it is pretty obvious that you guys have much better hearing than I do, are these manual or PDK equipped cars?

I re-listened to the first ~45 seconds of the first video: I say manual.

Unless the GT4 turns into a commercial vehicle, chances it debuts there is pretty slim. Paris and Frankfurt alternate years... This year is Paris for passenger vehicles.

My local dealer says 6 pot n/a detuned 4L, pdk and manual and in my country USD150k sticker! I.e about twice the cayman GTS and on or with a speced 911 GTS, so that kills all plans for me to buy one! Stick to my old 997 GTS for now
