Default UPDATED!!! My amazing wife works on Max our '55 Coupe

While I take a break and watch Abbott and Costello:

How many wives would do this on a Saturday afternoon?

It's been non-stop work getting ready for the Parade Concours
around here.

Great job!!! The shocks are looking great...her only mistake is usually my own as well...to get under the car wearing white t-shirts...I have a stack of grease stained ones...

PS: It looks like "Abbott & Costello" was not half as much interesting...otherwise you would not be there documenting such a cool moment! ;- )

PS: The Hound is checking the jack stands closely!

LOL...... I never thought of it that way. I was just trying to stay cool.

Isn't my hubby something? Taking pics of me UNDER the car???

We'll both be under there again in a few minutes. I believe that the dog thinks that we are insane!!!!!

Robert. Have you ever thought about making a calendar with your wife showing the proper way to service a 356? It could be like an illustrated Maestro's manual only with your good looking wife showing all the points of interest. By the way as you can see I don't post often and in fact your wife told me not to be so shy when we met ya'll at Boerne. Seriously a guide for 356's with JoAnne as host would sell.

LOL you guys are tooooo much! LOL
A few shots of the engine, and it's STILL NOT clean enough!

I'm finished with my part of the undercarriage cleaning. I found a few spots this morning that were missed and those will be finished by Robert today. I don't know how mechanics do this all the time. I get a total kink in my neck after about two hours under the car. Anyway, we'll be doing the topside finishing today and tomorrow. Tomorrow night he gets loaded into the trailer and then it's off to the Parade on Tuesday. I do believe this will be the last time we go Full Concours. We will be like all the other folks that have said, "been there, done that". Twice is enough. It will be fun enjoying our new '58 as a driver that looks good too.....

JoAnne

PS: StratoCAT.... Glad to see you can "Speak". I thought the CAT got your tongue again! It's nice to hear from you once in a while anyway......

I was supposed to get my 76 930 back from the paint shop Friday. Alas not to be, one more week they say. I've had that car for 20 years now and thought it only right to give it an anniversary gift. The interior was perfect to begin with and now the paint will do the car justice. We're going to have one of those rennaire retrograde air conditioner systems installed so we'll be able to take it to some shows this fall without cooking. I used to recall from my PCA days that they had a big turnout for in Branson in late September? Since 95 we've either had kids in Cross Country or High School football so could never go anywhere on weekends in the fall. Those days are finally over so we'll get to do some of the Porsche events.

We'll have had our Outlaw 356 15 years next summer so maybe it will get the needed paint job. It was my daily driver for the last 5 years and suffered for it but is now back as a garage queen. After that show in Boerne in April I don't feel right to take it anwhere with the paint in such sad shape. I'm so out of the loop I don't even know where the parade is this year. Where is it?

I really like these photos - in a sick, over-cleaned, Q-tip sort of way...

GOOD LUCK AT PARADE!! And just to inspire you CLICK HERE (you may have to hit "refresh", tho'??)

Default Looks mighty dangerous

Do yourself a favor and buy one of these !!

I cringe when I see someone under a car supported by jacks ! Especially JoAnne ! $1300, lifts 356s and 993s without a care !!

Greg D., Tell me they make one for my 951, then tell me what it's called and where I can buy one......I agree completely with the jackstand comment, gives me the ******* especially when wrenching.

JoAnne and Robert the car looks fantastic. Good luck at the show.

It's not car specific. I pointed out it works out well with a 356 because that car has funny jack points. I see no reason it would not work for a 951, unless you got oil lines or AC lines passing under your jacking points, or something funny like that...

I think it's a bend pak LR 60 or something funky like that, you may have to google a site, it's been 2 years... Best money I ever spent though, safe, practical, very cool. Things that you would hesitate to do before are a 5 minute job now !!!
