Could not resist, it was a 80F week end in Florida, I had to take her for a cruise. I even met up with a speedster by accident (a real speedster)...

Just when I thought I had my mind set to moving back to San Fran, Tampa throws us a beautiful winter... Damn !

Hangover Run 2008, New Year's Morning in Southern California. Seven 356s cruising the Santa Monica Mountains from The Valley to Malibu. Big winds = unusually clear skies and great visibility. The third shot is from Stunt Road, overlooking Malibu, Palos Verdes, and Long Beach(!) at the left.

Very Very VERY cool Pictures of the TREr run. We couldn't make the run this year since we left LA right after Christmas this year, but LAST year Robert went on it in the 993 and had a blast. Love the Picture of PV!! You can see the buildings in Long Beach. What a clear day..........

Not the TRE Run, JoAnne. Those guys were doubtless hooning all over Angeles Crest Highway...wreaking havoc on the fauna. The Highway Patrol is usually waiting for them.
Not exactly our speed. We're just the OPG (Old Porsche Gruppe): a bunch of 356 owners in and around the San Fernando Valley. Seven of us went out to play today.

Your picture threw me for a loop. I saw the 911 and assumed it was the TRE run. The Old Porsche Groupe run sounds like something both of us REALLY would have loved to do. Don't get me wrong, we both LOVE the occasional burst of speed that we get in the 993 or the CayenneS, but our favorite mode of travel is crusin' in the 356.... Maybe we can horn in on your run next year. We aren't from the San Fernando Valley, but we are from A VALLEY, the Coachella Valley!


I can TOTALLY understand why the TRE group is running on Angeles Crest this year instead of the Canyons of Malibu. Last year they not only had one, but TWO CHP helicopers on the look out for them there. Robert hung with them for about half the run and then headed home when he found out about the helicopters. We had the car 993 for exactly one week and really didn't want to head back to R Can Saw (where we lived at that time) with a ticket from a friendly local trooper...
