I think the carpet was manufactured by Shaw. It was inexpensive. It was something like $1.89 a foot and it's holding up so well. I drive the CayenneS in and out of the garage almost daily and the marks that it leaves in the carpet come right on up. You can't even tell there was a super heavy car parked there unlike what happened with the tile floors we used to have in R Can Saw.

LOL!!! You also think it looks like a Reutter Badge?? So does Robert!!! It's actually a Blistered Pearl, but from now on I'm gonna say it's the badge!!

I found this photo of my parents driveway which dates from about 1972. Shown are my father's Bahama yellow '63B ($1,800 in 1964), my first 356 which is the '58A ($800 in 1970) to the left and my second 356 which is the silver '64C ($875 in 1972). In hindsight, I can now understand why we were not real popular with the neighbor having my ratty old cars parked on the lawn and all.
