>"on the Continent".

In north america, I guess, since this car was from the carrera panamerica that runs through mexico !
Of course, that does not prove the accident happened there

You're probably right. I should have gotten a clue from the "Corona" sticker right off the bat.

LOOKS like Helga is SOLD.
We want to make room in the garage for something (356) else.... you'll see when we find it

This pic was taken on a very sad day in the current history of 356's................

JoAnne.. was that the "European Collectables" incident? If so that was indeed a sad story.. tractor trailor stuck on rail road tracks

I bought my 993 from them, and saw a lot of those cars in the show room, a loss like that money cannot fix.

I believe the cars are still sitting in the back of EC covered with tarps.... Total loss............

I was having some fun playing with friends in the 968 F class and 911 GT5S class at this past October's Summit Point club race...

Nothing like a nice cigarette after a long day of pulling the motor and clamping off the fuel line . . .

Finally got to see the Train Wreck Carrera last weekend up close and personal. OUCH! It was a sick sight:

I LOVE this thread and scan through it on a regular basis. But I have to say those crash pictures are just heart breaking and add such a jarring effect to browsing these beautiful pictures!

So, so sad...

Default Happy Shots

I tend to agree w/ Howard - I find 356 snuff shots a bit hard to take, esp amongst so many nice ones (maybe because I saw so many picts of deadly Porsche race crashes in my youth?). Do we need a not-for-the-faint-of-heart 356s thread? Aside from all that, I am impressed about the quality and duration of that Speedster's paint (assuming the shot was taken at the EC open house last weekend). Here's a coupla shots from the library (it's a Dog's Life)...

This thread is wonderful, don't get me wrong. I am ready to sell my soul for one of these cars!

Here are a couple of fairly well known shots that everyone has probably seen before but I think are worth adding to the thread (hope no one minds as I live on the 964 board and I'm not really a 356 board member)

Cheers,

Hey Howard! Thanks for posting and there is no membership needed for the 356 board.

Even Speedster loves to go for rides in the 356:
