Showing off - my Emory Outlaw race car took third place at the Road America/Elkhart Lake race car Concours d'Elegance....
What a great party they put on in downtown Elkhart Lake.

I will be contributing to the thread with a few pictures of my cars, just before one of them (1960 1600 Super in red) departs to a new custodian and fellow Rennlister...

WHOA!!!! As a former Concours Queen this picture makes me very nervous..........
Race car or not. If it doesn't belong to you, keep your freakin' strollers and dirty kiddie hands off of the cars!!!
Hmmmm...... Sorry, but your paint looks perfect. Don't people know any better that that??? I mean, it's not in the paddock after a race where it's so dirty it doesn't really matter if a kiddie touches it or not. The stroller??? Frekin' tooooooo close!!!!! It's at a car show for goodness sakes!!!
Rant over............................................
MORON!!!!!
Okay, my rant is really over now... Not really, but I'll stop........

You know, it never ceases to amaze me how people act around our cars. I was at Monterey for the Historics and some of the auctions last weekend and we had dinner with the head guy who takes car of and preps all the cars before the go in for one of the big name brand auctions. He went on and on about how poorly people treat the cars - like putting glsses of wine on the hood of one car while they crawl through another with thier feet on the upholstery, etc. etc. - you wouldn't believe the stories he told!
Anyway, here is a stash of cars I found...

These cars are at Emory's but this was the week after the campout - it is their new storage building. Too many race weekends this year, I missed the campout!
I like the picture of Doxie!

A few quickie shots from Portland Parade:
356s at the Concours and 2 shots of our "3 Stooges" in the, at the time, soon-to-be-ours, 62 356B Roadster (does that make sense?).

Looks like the Parade organizers once again saved the best locations for the 356's at the parade. Nothing like putting 40 to 50 year old cars on a hill! Wonder if they let the participants use chocks? They did at Hershey to play it safe. They had to be removed only for the judging. We've heard horror stories of cars rolling down hill and then into other participants automobiles!
