I thought I had deleted the post, sorry about that, here they are.
Everything on the car is original except a couple of decals, it has quite a loud growl in a very nice way. The owner is German and bought it in Switzerland if I am not mistaken several years back, a really nice guy. Hope you like them.

Some more pictures. If I recall correctly this car participated in two Rallye Monte Carlo in the 50's (don't remember the ranking) and was second in the Mille Miglia in '52. It was interesting to see that it had two batteries in the front trunk, and I liked the door mirrors on it. I don't know much about these cars unfortunately other than I own a roadster replica
so I hope these pics have some value, I took them in order to post them here upon my return..

JoAnne, Tony glad you like it.
As I said I don't know much about the 356s unfortunately but after seeing his magazine clippings and old pictures I realized it was something important.
EDIT: Any idea what it is called, I think it is a '50 or '51 car. Eventually I could get in touch with the owner to find out more, but language barrier might be difficult.
Well the drive thing was easy, he wanted to drive my car more badly

It probably is '50 or '51 Pre A because it has the split window...... If it were any earlier it would be a Gmund coupe frm '48 and '49.
There were only 50 of those made......
Max was a '55 and he had a bent window......
See?? I'm learning

This thread was slowing down, so I thought I would post a few pictures from this weekend's PCA Escape to the Wine Country.

The PCA Potomac Region held its Annual Gathering of the Faithful earlier today at the Reston Town Center in Reston, VA.

Hi JoAnne,
A lot of the cars in this year's show were "new". The '57 outlaw was pretty interesting. It had an integrated tube frame/roll bar and the suspension was from a 993 (front and rear with swaybars). It also had Boyd Coddington wheels and a 911 engine (case was cut from 6 to 4 cyclinders).
Here are some pics from last year's show:

Beautiful pictures! I Can’t get enough of them.
I like the picture which is taken from the drivers point of view of the 1956 Sportolet .
