Default New 997 with X51 Power Kit

I just picked up my new 997S with the X51 powerkit, and PCCBs. I ordered this car about 3 months ago.

Stats: Slate Grey, X51, PCCB, Full Leather, Leather door finishers, Leather center console, Leather & Thick sports steering wheel.

Here are a few pictures. Note the middle radiator on the X51 cars.

Here are some interior pictures. Note leather door finishers by the door handles. This hides the area that is normally plastic and kind of cheap looking. Also note the thicker, full leather steering wheel.

Some engine compartment pictures. Note the dual-air inlets, and carbon fiber air box. The whole intake manifold is different as well. I'm not sure, but I think the headers are different too.

Default Driving Impressions

Driving Impressions: It definitely has more poop than the regular 997S. The throttle feels close to what the Sport-Chrono feels like in the "Sport" mode, only it's in the "Normal" mode.

My favorite part so far is that if you unplug the sport-exhaust valve control, so the by-pass valve is always open, the car sounds incredible. It sounds much better than even the normal 997S with PSE. It sounds like a race engine with hot cams! I love it!

One small disappointment is that the redline is still the same: 7200 RPM. But it definitely pulls hard all the way. I have about 100 miles on it so far, and trying to take it a little easy for now.

What's with the carbon fiber airbox, anyways? Is it just weight savings or is there something else to it?

Slate Gray is such a rich color and worth every penny (no pun intended). Photos rarely capture it's richness and complexity. Yours have! In fact, these are the best Ive seen of this color.

Congrats. I'm still waiting for my X-51 C4S.

Thanks. Yes, Slate is very nice on the 997 body. I'm really glad I got it.

I don't know, but it's a nice touch. Kind of makes you want to leave the rear hood off

Actually, I do have a Cayenne Turbo, but I don't like it very much. [edit: no offense to Cayenne drivers - I just like cars better than SUVs]

Plain beautiful, congratulations on the choice you made to go for both the pccb and the x51, I am sure you have the most desirable combo on the market.
My choice would have been for the Classic wheels just to show the yellow brakes better, but I must admit the ones you have are spectacular.
Enjoy every moment safely,
ciao
