Wekfest Los Angeles

Wekfest Los Angeles serves up only the finest custom builds on the planet on one special day in SoCal.

Wekfest is one of the better-known car shows/events that takes place each year after having started out as a humble gathering in the San Francisco Bay Area back in 2008. What sets Wekfest apart from a lot of shows is the fact that not only does it focus on custom creations, but organizers vet entries and present only the best, curated list of vehicles for spectators to enjoy. This approach has prompted builders to come up with some seriously creative, quality rides, making it a must-see for enthusiasts of all kinds. We’ll get that chance once again on August 14, when Wekfest Los Angeles is set to return for 2022.

In spite of its relatively young age, Wekfest has already expanded around the globe in eight different cities including Nagoya, Japan. The premise is quite simple, but the results speak for themselves, year in and year out. The 2022 installment of Wekfest Los Angeles looks to continue that successful streak by hosting the finest custom rides SoCal has ever seen, and that’s saying a lot, given the fact that car culture was arguably born there.

Taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Wekfest L.A. welcomes all makes and models and is simply a way for enthusiasts to meet up, check out some amazing builds, talk shop, and share their experiences and know-how with each other. Of course, the gathering of automobiles is the highlight here, and there’s certainly something for every taste, with styles including JDM, USDM, Euro, VIP, race, off road, and OEM+, to name just a few.

For those participating in the event, there are over 60 individual awards up for grabs as well, ranging from the best exotic, bike, or engine bay of the group, but also individual best in show categories for every kind of build. Awards are also given for craftsmanship and engineering, best car by brand, and a slew of individual models including the iconic Porsche 911, of course.

While registration for Wekfest Los Angeles is already closed, those that wish to attend can still score tickets by heading over here. Judging by what we’ve seen in years past, it’ll certainly be worth the trek.
