Blasphemy or badass? No matter how you feel about this LS7 powered Porsche 911, there’s no denying its capability.

Most Porsche fans tend to be purists. And for good reason. After all, the legendary automaker has produced some of the more legendary cars and powerplants in history. The most famous of which are the Porsche 911 and its glorious flat six. But that hasn’t stopped a few enterprising individuals from giving up on the iconic engine. This LS7-powered Porsche 911 is the latest (greatest?) example of that.

Whether it was born of a desire for crazy power or in the interest of saving money, the end result here is undeniable. This LS7 powered Porsche 911 weighs a mere 2,700 pounds, yet pumps out 1,000-plus horsepower at the wheels. Heck, the twin boosted GM engine even weighs 50 pounds less than a 930 turbo flat six.

The madman behind this blasphemous creation, which he calls the “Toy-Jet,” is Clemon Prevost of Houston, Texas. Prevost owns a company by the same name which produces a variety of LS 911 swap parts. His own car has served as a test bed over the years, originally fitted with a supercharged LS1. Now, it sports a full-on 427ci beast with air-to-water intercooling.

It’s not like the car was a slouch before the swap, pumping out 735 hp. But the new twin turbo setup pushed the car to a whole new level. After a thorough tuning by Patrick G (who just happens to be an admin at our brother site, LS1Tech), the car easily crested four digits at the wheels. And it sounds downright nasty.

Whether you love or hate the fact that people are swapping LS motors into Porsches, it’s undeniable that there are valid reasons for doing so. And even though we prefer that folks stick with flat sixes, we can also appreciate beastly builds like this one.
