Jalopnik takes exclusive 911 for a ride through the streets of Manhattan, where it turns more heads than a Rockette.

For 54 years, the 911 has been gracing the world with its classic looks, impressive handling and everyday sports car demeanor. It goes without saying that the 911 is the most important model Porsche has ever produced. A few months ago, the one-millionth 911 rolled off the assembly line in Zuffenhausen, Germany.

Months later, the one-millionth 911 has finally come over to the States and its first stop: New York City. And thankfully, one of our favorite auto publications, Jalopnik, was there to capture it all in glorious photographs by automotive photographer Marc Urbano.

To start things off, this distinct 911 is actually a 2017 Carrera S with the engine from GTS making 450 horsepower. Next, the stunning Irish Green color just works in harmony with the exterior design of the 991.2 Carrera body lines.

Look inside the cabin and you’ll find houndstooth seats out of the 911 R and wood accents on the dash and steering wheel. The best part: a manual shift lever and 3 pedals! We assume it’s the 7-speed gearbox just like in the GTS and not the 6-speed from the 911 R/GT3.

We’re pretty sure that as it cruised around NYC, this beautiful Irish Green 911 turned more heads than a Rockette. After all, the one-millionth 911 is not just a specially made Porsche, it’s a celebration of one of the greatest sports cars of all time. What do you think about this incredible 911?
