Irish Green 911 Carrera S one million

Special-edition Carrera S to tour the world before being put in a museum.

For years, the Porsche 911 has been one of the best sports cars available. Incredibly well built and more stylish than almost everything out there, the 911 has been a best-selling car for Porsche for decades. The 911 has been so popular that just recently Porsche just rolled their one millionth 911 off the factory floor, and it’s a special one, indeed.

The one millionth 911 is a Irish Green Carrera S and is a throwback to the classic 911’s. With the interior highlighted by the wood dashboard and steering wheel panels, at first glance, you’d think this car was 50 years old. Don’t get too excited, however. No matter how much money you would be willing to put down for it, you can’t expect to get your hands on the vehicle. The Carrera S is going to end up in the Porsche Museum, after making stops all over the world.

Don’t go thinking the 1 million 911s manufactured is the most impressive Porsche statistic. What’s even more impressive is that Porsche estimates that 70% of all 911s built are still ready to be used today. That’s 700,000 911s that are in the world that could be driven right this moment. Not only that, the 911 is more popular now than ever before. Last year alone, Porsche said they sold a whopping 32,365 vehicles!

One car that won’t make its way onto that sales statistic is the brand new Irish Green Carrera S. However, it’ll go down as perhaps one of the most historic Porsches ever built.
