Celebrity Shocker! Caitlyn Jenner Gets Another Porsche 911 GT3 RS

We may not all be able to agree on which bathroom Caitlyn Jenner should use, but I think we can all agree that she drives a nice car. Although I doubt very much we’ll reach the same harmonious conclusion about that purple color.

In important Porsche news this week, Jenner, who used to be a Gold Medal winning decathlete and is now apparently on some reality television show, picked up a spanking new purple Porsche 911 GT3 RS on Monday. That’s according to TMZ, whose fine reportage subsequently caused every other gossip site in the world to take note, which in turn alerted the automotive sites.

And so here we are, at the crossroads of pop culture and the automotive business, talking about Caitlyn’s new ride.

Of course, the big question on everyone’s mind is whether the purple was a tribute to Prince, who also loved purple and hated sexual assignations. Well, the answer there is no, Jenner ordered the new 911 GT3 well before Prince’s passing. Which makes the car’s color even more questionable.

This isn’t Jenner’s first go around with the model either; her ex-wife, Kris Jenner, bought Caitlyn a red on black 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS for a $180,000, as the Annie Lebovitz Vanity Fair photo below can attest to.
