SMC Autofest 2022 Is a Porsche-Only Show for Fanatics
SMC Autofest 2022 returns to L.A. with the promise of dozens of amazing Porsches worth drooling over.
Perhaps more so than any other automotive brand, Porsche fans have a slew of events to choose from each and every calendar year. That includes high-profile gatherings like the Rennsport Reunion and Luftgekühlt, to name a couple, but also smaller events such as the upcoming 2022 SMC Autofest. Put on by Sierra Madre Collection – a major seller of Porsche parts – this year’s show is essentially an open house at SMC’s headquarters in Los Angeles, California, one that will feature a parking lot full of Porsches, as well as some other fun activities.
The 2022 SMC Autofest takes place on February 24, 2022, and runs from 10 am to 4 pm PST. Porsche owners can RSVP to secure their spot at the show, and the whole thing sounds like a pretty awesome way to spend a Thursday other than working some boring, soul-draining desk job. In addition to showing off the best Porsches L.A. has to offer, this year’s SMC Autofest will also feature food options, as well as a way to check out the parts seller’s headquarters and all the cool wares they have available.
In spite of the pandemic, SMC’s Autofest brought out some seriously cool vehicles in the last couple of years, as well as a decent crowd of people. However, this year looks set to bring back the larger crowds of the past, with conditions improving, as well as some of the finest Porsche vehicles of all vintages that SoCal has to offer. Each year sees dozens of amazing air-cooled, water-cooled, racing, street-going, stock, restored, and heavily modified machines worth drooling over roll into SMC’s headquarters, and this year should be no exception.
Registering to have your Porsche parked at SMC’s headquarters for the 2022 Autofest is free, and also open right now. You can sign up for the show by visiting this link, which you’ll obviously want to do now since space is limited. For those that live in the Southern California area that own a Porsche, it seems like a must-do. And even if you can’t bring your car out, it’ll certainly be worth swinging by and checking out what everyone else is working on, at the very least.
