Love the base!
Got this today at Altanta PEC:
991 C2
MT!
19 inch wheels
no sunroof, Sport Chrono, or other add-ons
(I did "splurge" on GT silver paint, Black-Bordeaux full leather, and 14-way seats.)

Felt like to burn some calories today so I washed my .2 base, it's been 5 years since I last hand wash my own car. Getting old and lazy. (ignore the wheels, I didn't touch them as my ordered cleaning formula hasn't arrived yet)
*CarPro Reset and Hydro2 Lite were used on this wash*

Yes, I have PDLS as option included in the Premium Package when I configured my car, but like you said, I never really notice that it's quite the black finish until today. The photos are iPhone pictures and not modified in any ways, so I guess the colour displayed is quite accurate.

Mine was delivered Feb 2017.
• Base C2, Night Blue Metallic with black/bordeaux red full leather
• 7-speed manual, standard 19-inch wheels
• 14-way sport seats
• Leather interior trim
• GT Sport steering wheel
• Gear lever in carbon fibre
• Porsche Entry & Drive
• Dealer installed: 3M PPF and Pirelli Winter Sottozero tires
Traded in my 991.1 S; like the 991.2 a lot better: nicer ride, easier to drive, lighter clutch, more precise shifter, lots of low-down torque, love the red leather interior, 19-inch wheels, rear-view camera and standard PASM.

Burning Brakes
Lovely car, very similar to mine, down to the leather covered trim, dash, and door panels. I almost went for the Night Blue Metallic, and also considered GT Silver Metallic before settling on the Agate Grey.
I've also got the 18-way Sports Plus seats, Heated Multifunction Steering Wheel, and the Premium package.

Csaba:
I must say your Car & Driver article "How we spec'd it: Porsche 911" was an inspiration, thank you (recognized your photos). I agree with all your reasoning for your build, though I was so close to getting a C4, being from a cold winter climate in Western Canada (Calgary). The base is more than enough car, and a big part of my build was the 'unabashedly and unashamedly base 991.2" mentality: simple, low-key and unpretentious, yet still a classic 911.
Just thankful and appreciative that we can enjoy these fantastic machines.
I'm just blown away with the 7MT, clutch, ride, and refinement that this sport car offers.

Ya, I agree, black/bordeaux goes with a lot of colours.
See this thread, post #144, an old graphite blue-like 911 with a red interior.
https://rennlist.com/forums/991/9505...see-em-10.html
There's also a recent Night Blue thread asking for opinions on which interior colour to get.
As always, colours are subjective, each to his own.
Doesn't matter, they all drive the same!
