Used to. Sometimes as close as 5-10 miles apart when in the MD/VA area and both members of Potomac and Chesapeake Regions. Frank stayed put in MD (moving to beautiful Deep Creek Lake) and my wife and I moved to Florida (Amelia Island) in 2005. The was an 800 mile difference. Later this year, my wife an I are moving to the Austin area which will be closer to 1400 mile separation. But we work hard to catch up at least 2-4 times per year.

When we were closer we shared some neat cars including 1970 911T modded to a nice 3.0, track car in Conda Green. The a really sweet 72 T YELLOW Coupe with a fantastic 3.4 build, also focused on DE and track. Then a 1986 Escort Series 944 Turbo (which was stolen from a race shop!). Add in a 1992 Carrera Cup 911/964 which we built to replicate how it would have competed in the still born Cup series here in the US. It was #21 of 45 and we had a ball with that one in DE and PCA Club Racing at Summit Point, Mid Ohio, VIR, Watkins Glen, Road America and Lime Rock. Should not have let that one get away!!!

Add in a "real" 73 RS Touring (#1160) for track and then restored to street use in GP White with Blue trim. Another one that got away!!!

Finally we were both fortunate enough to get "twin" GT3's (2004 996) in 2005. Frank's was GR of course and mine was GP white. After that I shifted to SCCA Club racing in a 944 and then Spec Miata. Ran that till the move to FL.

Long and winding road, with more miles ahead, God willing!

So today, I detailed her (not much needed, she was pretty much perfect off the truck), and my wife and I celebrated our new arrival (our 23rd Porsche in 50 years as of this June) with a lovely spring drive and dinner in our local community of Fernandina Beach. What a great start to our next adventure with Porsche, PCA, and the wonderful community of Porsche people.

Here are some pics.
Hahaha oh god, for two seconds I thought you bought two 991.1's back to back until I read through and realized y'all are twins and not the same person.

Congrats to you both!

I've been holding out for a GTS, but I've also been debating the C2S posted a couple pages back. http://bit.ly/2mKb7kM

Haha! Close but no cigar. It was tough to tell us apart when our parents dressed us "alike" way back when, (what WERE they thinking??). But today not so much.

Actually "Eggs" is my RY 991, SFZ GT3; Steve.

And "Ketchup" is Frank's GR 991, GT3FZS; Frank.

Car was discussed a page or so ago... I was interested, so was another HFS'er, I think beaudog? I didn't pull the trigger on it, hopefully he did!

Decent price point for a C4S, still under a few weeks of factory warranty, higher miles, no sunroof, and an 'intermediate' as the seller where the few minor negatives from my perspective.

Given the C4S that sold on the Bay for $70k what does everyone think of this C4S for the same price. 53k miles but certified.

Look forward to comments..

Despite repeated attempts on my part, I was never able to speak with the seller, nor did they respond to any messages

I liked the spec, a lot, but didn't have enough faith to pull the trigger on the BIN price without any communication.

Not sure it is a fair comp at that price, but I'll be happy to be proved wrong.

With these "reserve not met" auctions, not worth mentioning in my opinion as we do not know the asking prices and can't judge a nice value.

Also, eBay isn't a good reference point for what cars are selling for either.
