It would be surprising if porsche selected PDK for the graphite 0000 as the geyser one is PDK so that would make the 2 museum cars PDK and none in manual, hopefully some pictures might pop up enabling us to verify it.

Both cars @ the museum...

Cheers!

I'll buy YOU one!
Last time I checked with my dealer he told me approx. 30 were sold in Belgium.
However, that too is a rough estimate as there are non OPC's selling the Jubi here too.

Actually he could be right because I did an estimate based on total 911 imports into Belgium vs total 911 sold worldwide and then applied that ratio to 1963 50th and came to around 30 (or was it 32) but I suspected that due to the high number of 50th I have identified in Belgium so to get a 2 nd verification of that number makes me more confident. I will post those estimated here tomorrow. It's quite cool because you could make an estimate of the number of cars that have been imported to your country with similar g/box, colour config and for a country like Belgium I would expect single digits which makes it pretty rare.

Well done Bart!
So the Graphite car IS 7MT; I'm glad I said my memory was unclear!
No sunroof switches from what I can see on the centre control area.

Next time in GB/Europe, I'll buy you BOTH a Monk's!

I don't want to rain on your parade. But you know everyone complains there are too many options when buying a Porsche. How do you think we Belgians feel when we have to order a beer. The Porsche option is SHORT in comparison to the list of Belgian beers ! You might very well have to start a subforum about which Belgian beer you are going to drink ;-)

What I would love to do (in my 50th) is to visit the smaller proper Trappist breweries who only make as much beer as they need to run the monastery - no more. You know the ones whose product is not commercially available and you just have to turn up & queue for whatever type they are dishing out on that day. I hope I can fit a couple of cases in the Frunk!

What a fantastic attitude to have in life, make as much as you really need to live a simple & happy life.

Having said that I have enjoyed every single "dark" beer I have had in Belgium, mind you I always ask for the local favourite.

What's the deal with different numbers on the front & rear plates of this Belgian car?

Before I post the estimated 50th anniversary quota for each region I will post the actual (mostly) 911 deliveries in 2013, I say mostly as I had to estimate figures for some regions where Porsche did not release specific data so I used group data (2 dr sports deliveries) &/or historical data. These region are France, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Eastern Europe, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Australia/NZ, Spain/Portugal, Luxembourg.

Total = 30,205

USA 10442
Germany 7053
ME & Africa 1723
UK 1541
China 1418
Japan 1237
France 900
Switzerland 740
Canada 661
Asia Pacific 598
Italy 510
Latin America 469
Belgium 490
Eastern Europe 460
Netherlands 400
Scandinavia 340
Austria 337
Australia/NZ 300
Spain/Portugal 270
Russia 186
Luxembourg 130

And here is the estimated 50th anniversary quota of each region based on 2013 deliveries of 911 in 2013. Only Porsche knows actual data so these are just estimates and for main markets I expect the actual figures to be not far of these figures ie approx. +/-10%. Some forum members have already said 600 for US, 50 for Canada & 30 for Belgium & I know UK had 120 deliveries of 40th anni which of course was same ww numbers, 1963 but UK had a bigger portion of 911 than it does today due to emergence of new markets for Porsche. Therefore the figures can not be too far off the actual numbers.

Global sales 1,963

USA 679
Germany 458
ME & Africa 112
UK 100
China 92
Japan 80
France 58
Switzerland 48
Canada 43
Asia Pacific 39
Italy 33
Latin America 30
Belgium 32
Eastern Europe 30
Netherlands 26
Scandinavia 22
Austria 22
Australia/NZ 19
Spain/Portugal 18
Russia 12
Luxembourg 8

Surprised at the number allocated for Germany - didn't think the market was as big over there.

Its their home market and no speed limits!

I have identified (tagged) 81 50th anniversary cars in Germany vs 87 in states so these numbers also support the estimates.

Actually German prices are not cheaper but more expensive than UK by some 10%. US is the cheapest and Switzerland the most expensive in Europe/North America (20% more than UK).

I think Australia is even more as well as some Asian countries where they would cost double EU prices.
