Contact http://www.beruparts.com/main.sc, you need the M3 wire fitting, they may be able to get you the coil wires only

If that doesnt work out try contacting "Blackbyrd" on Pelican...Efren has lots of 964 stuff, sometimes isnt the fastest to respond though
Keep at it , performance is so much better with the new coil pack

I dont have a spare set of coil wires but do have some plug wires that should work, If you are interested PM me and I will get them out and check for condition and make sure ends will come off.

I have thought about buying the crimp tool, wire, and connectors. However the cost is just way too much to justify considering my plug wires are basically new.

Would be nice.
I did get the used wires from the UK. The 993 connectors went on nicely. Just wish I knew the age of the wires. Will be looking down the road for some that have a known life (or new).

yep just the ends at the coils as the 993 coils have a different fitting. The only issue is if you cant unscrew the old 964 ends off your existing leads as they are corroded/too tight etc. spray some penetrating oil down them past the rubber first and try today to see if they easily unscrew, then screw them back on.
This way you will know if you are going to have any issues getting them off at the upgrade.

I took it apart last night. Didn't need any oil as it came off with a little muscle. Going to order up the parts to do this mod as my coils look to have over 100k on them.

I just did this mod because my 964 wasn't starting as easy. Had to have a battery tender to keep it starting on the first try. So I did the coil mod. I took better pictures that can explain the task a little better.
1. 2 6mm allen bolts will remove the coil pack
2. remove the little packs off the coil (4 Phillips screws)
3. remove the nuts holding the terminals on the top of the coils (8mm and 10mm) - warning: don't the washers or nuts or you'll need to replace them
4. if you have the proper wires (which I did) pull and twist the ends off the coil wires. I used a little wd40 to lube the new ends which allows the coil wires to slide right in.
5. drill an offset hole (as you can see I didn't do that the first time) so that the coils could mount up to the side. As you can see the yellow labels are facing the engine and the hole is to the left of the center (the new coil packs are wider than the old pack).
6. mount everything up (i had an old 10mm socket I won't be using as a spacer to push the coils forward) Also reused the middle allen bolt to mount the coils up (had to trim ~10mm off). Note: I did this because it was late and I wanted to finish this. I will replace the socket in the future with a proper spacer if I get around to it.
7. last thing is to zip tie the bracket to the wires on the bottom. Either that or get some L brackets to mount them to the 993 coil packs. If I feel creative I'll make something later.
engine fires right up on the first try which means my old coils (with some miles on them) are going out. Thanks for the DIY info and I hope my pictures will help the next person.

Good info!
What cables and connectors did you use? Was it new leads and connectors as mentioned earlier in this thread or did you re-use the cables?
"The lead is 993.602.060.07
As noted above the ends are part 928 602 557 00"

I had Breu wires already that I reused. I purchased the ends from the dealer as they didn't cost that much. I got to mount the heatsink in the OP's location as I feel it looks better.
