What did you do to your 924/944 today

Car is in the shop. Getting throttle cam replaced, diagnosing a leak to the passenger side footwell (probably the sunroof drains or rear latch seals), adjusting the e brake (plus new rear pads), adjusting the timing belt (500 miles since replaced) new motor mounts, adjust cam gear, that's about all for now....

A sight few 924/944.1 drivers will ever get to see... here's a sneak peak It's far from finished, this is just a light coat to make sure it will look okay later. Paint is obviously still wet, it'll be a satin finish when dry. If all goes well, I'll make a thread with detailed procedure and pictures.

Here's a real brief view of my recent motor rebuild. It's in and has 120 miles on the new motor now. Runs like a scalded dog, just ironing out a few minor issues.
Fresh Acid dipped and honed block back from 928 Motorsports

Gaped rings ready to install
Fresh engine nearly ready for install
Engine bay ready to receive the motor
Engine in and ready to break in.

It took the better part of the past year with all the time parts were off at machine shops etc.
Block before high temp engine paint
Parts waiting assembly
Fresh mains
Painted block
Oil Scraper installed
Oil Scraper installed
Block coming together slowly
Engine coming together slowly
Extreme High Temp red paint was good till 1200 deg. It's all gone now after 120 miles.

New Clutch
Undercarriage de-greased and sprayed with bedliner.

Removed rear tires, with car on dollies and jack stands..moved car until one corner fell off the jack stand and landed on the floor...not cool..jacked it back up put it back on dolly & stand and completed 180 degree turn..took about an hour..Had to make room for another car...need something better to support the car than what I have now..maybe like a mobile frame...supporting it on the front and rear bumper mounts and jack points...anybody out there do anything like this??

I solved my space issue by purchasing a ProPark 8 car lift.

New to this page, but just did my first mod to my 85.5 944. Added a short shift kit from http://only944.com/partscatalog/only/shortshifter/.
Bought the entire kit, 100% worth it. Completely different feel and really cleaned up the sloppy side to side movement of the worn OEM assembly.

didn't have time to put the SSK in.
got the new bars and bushings in pretty easily.
honestly not as hard as i thought it would be based on people's shared experiences.
indexing the bars with the tube assy on the ground is a lot easier than trying to put it in and out of the car repeatedly, just measure carefully. the new trailing arm bushings were more of a PITA.
also, a belt sander works wonders for clearing the old rubber of the spring plate.
car feels much sharper now.
