Default $2555 for new tyres ?

These new Pirelli colour edition tyres can work out pretty expensive, I think they would work well on the 928?, if you have the money ?..., love the look though.

Bespoke tires. Why not?

The market for selling wildly-priced luxury goods has never been better.

For a grand I'll ship a preloved tire with something drawn by the kids on it.

Its well over $1000 for 15" Pirelli's. What's a little more for the summer tires. Crazy how less physical tire cost more.

A friend has a clk amg black series. The tires for that were around $2000 +- for the correct ones- not just ones that would fit. Replaced due to age, not milage. So $2500- for the ones with sidewall bling isn't out of line.

Dayum!

... and I got flamed for admitting that I paid AUD$1800 for Bridgestone tyres for my 944.

Mind you, that was simply an egregious example of "the Australia tax" that means we pay too much for almost everything imported.

For a lot less money, you can install a color band on the outside lip of the rim when you have new tires fitted. This would give you essentially the same look but 1"-2" away from where the tire sidewall stripe on these would be. Now if the color was impregnated into the tread rubber where you could do smoky burnouts in color, that's a different story.
