@12v Nick Bumping thread & pinging you because a few people asking for updates and sending DMs concerned at the lack of communication. If you could throw us a tiny bone with any updates it would be appreciated.

With that said I’m not worried in the slightest guys/gals. Nick & MusicarNW have been around the Porsche & BMW forums I frequent for over a decade and have an impeccable reputation for delivering top notch products. I’ve literally never read any posts regarding them not delivering.

I’m giving Nick the benefit of the doubt that it’s in the middle of the Christmas/New Year season and reading the news about flight cancellations and baggage disasters all across North America if he’s done any travelling he could be in the middle of a very stressful situation right now.

Personally I’d rather Nick & MusicarNW spend extra development time to deliver a top notch product than rush to meet his “end of the year” promise and have compromises.

A little follow up would be nice though

Apologies for the communications delay — Rennlist has had some vendor post issues these past couple weeks and we're still working at a resolution.

It was actually removed for about a week. I just now found out this tread was reinstated and moved over to the vendor section. My notifications somehow quit coming through once it was moved. Glad it's back so I can update everyone in one place.

I know everyone is really eager to get these kits and start enjoying new sound, so I really appreciate the patience and understanding. I've also come to the realization that I might have been a bit too optimistic with my projections on the timeline. Pre-pandemic, this would have been easy, but the supply chain right now still has some kinks that are causing delays. Rather than cut corners in the process, we're just going to push the ETA's a bit to make sure you all get a flawless product.If anyone with Stage Two or Three would like to get your tweeters or sound damping earlier than the rest of the kit, I'm happy to send those out in a couple weeks when they're ready. Just send me a PM or email and I'll note that on your order.

Update for Stage One/Stage One Plus orders — Those are built and getting packed this week for shipping!

@12v Nick The write up makes it sound like the stage 1 kit include special speaker mounts/adapters for the tweeters, is that correct or are they just plug-and-play with the existing ones? I'm guessing UK shipping is going to be pricey.

 

Technically, it's both. The new tweeters are a bolt-in/plug-n-play system because of the mounts we manufacture for them. The OE tweeter does need to be "clipped" out of plastic dash cradle. Here's a photo of the factory Bose tweeter vs our Stage One:





I'll post up the tutorial on install today. That'll surely help answer some questions.
